I think mostly it is because they don't want to sit around doing nothing when there is so much that needs to be done in their eyes. We do nothing that will bring real hard attention to Ourselves while Socialist are stepping up their fight against us and the US Constitution. We have an Idiot in the WH and he allows Illegal's and Terrorist to cross over the Southern Border, bringing not only hard drugs, not forgetting backpacks filled with Pot but the likelyhood of Nuclear Devices and likely Dirty Bombs.
But I am sure that there is far more involved in why we can't get more and more Fighting Men and Fighting Women.
I have but one Nephew who would join, were I to ask him. I do not ask because I do not want him to say something that might bring bad attention to the Militias..

It looks as if we might have to work with very small groups of 3 to 6 people and and even then we will really have to blend in with the area's population. We will be doing more and more nighy fighting, hit and run style fight ing.
I have made note once about what what things we would have to do but it was deleted.

OD, over the years, I've looked at the world and our government. Yes, I saw things that needed improving, but really nothing serious. The more laws that got passed, the more things got messed up. There had been laws passed back in the 1800's that were still in effect today. I thought to myself, isn't this odd......these folks are just up and changing these laws and they've been in effect all this time. Must've worked pretty good. Then the late 80's and early 90's.....changes were coming so fast, you almost couldn't adapt, all kinds of crazy laws were being passed, and I thought to myself, theres gonna be a revolution one day because this is not the country that I grew up in. Well, we survived, and now we're into the early part of the next Century. Laws are being Mass produced and we don't know 1/100th of all the crap thats being passed now. Bad part about it, is all the shady people that are in the political offices now, we can't trust 1/2 of them! They've lied their way into office to do their own agendas. Back in the time prior to the 70's, if you didn't do as the people wanted, you were canned. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, you were out! Not today though.
I thought about my part in the Militia back then, cause I knew that I'd be in one when things started to go south.
I've come to the realization that the laws would be broken and we can be railroaded, as long as we're kinda fat, dumb and happy.....we won't do a whole lot! These politicians are crooked, their evil, and liars, BUT THEY ARE NOT COMPLETELY STUPID!
Look at all the governments throughout history, the governments and kings and rulers could pretty well be as mean as they wanted to to the people. HOWEVER, when folks started starving, there wasn't no money, and people were miserable.....all hell started to break loose! And the people would rebell and overthrow their rulers, because they had to have change,

 

Well, the American people aren't 'hungry' yet. They haven't run outta money, we haven't had to deal with any hardships yet. Now.....when we do, folks will start to stand up and be heard. I'll be dead and gone by that point probably. BECAUSE FOLKS JUST SIT BACK NOT CARING UNTIL THEY HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!

 

ONLY PROBLEM IS, THIS TIME, WHEN WE'LL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING, WE'LL HAVE LET IT GET SO FAR OUTTA HAND AND BAD.....THAT WE'LL BE IN FOR A FIGHT FOR OUR VERY EXISTANCE!.

 

I know what your Feeling OD, and I've felt it too, but you can only lead a horse to water. I spout and spew at times......if it weren't for me letting my frustrations out in training and shooting, I'd achieve critical mass and butt would turn into vapor.....thats how mad I get sometimes.

But theres one thing.....when folks ask how did it get this bad......I'm gonna smile at them and I'm gonna give them the finger, because all those idiots could've prevented this.

 

Theres no ifs, ands, or buts. Theres no gray area here, or well, we could do this maybe that. Guess what folks, it too late for that. Its time for the hard choices, the sink or swim. and theres only 2 answers, any way you look at it. You have to ask yourself.............

                          'AM I PART OF THE SOLUTION? OR AM I PART OF THE PROBLEM?'

Very well said Freeman you make a very valid point and we do need to get on the same page because the time is coming real soon. Everyone who is active in a group needs to get out and train hard get prepaired and anyone who is capable should join those groups.

Freeman, I agree with you!  You are a big part of why we are having at least people from 4 states maybe 5 coming together in Sept.  This is part of unity.  We work together and cooperate between States because that is going to be what we need to win back this country.  Unity in our own States besides working in unity with other States.  We also need a positive attitude!!!  It is hard to have a positive attitude the way things are going but being positive helps us unite.

Also and probably the most important is if we have God behind us, we can accomplish anything!!!

I say the website has made a 180.  It just feels more friendly than in the preivious months.  The problem with people joining the other units or groups, I think is either fear of the unknown or inter-personal issues.  Fear can drive people to do things that they may not otherwise do.  Fear of loss of status within their families, workplace or the community can drive them away from the militia ranks.  This is a common issue even within my Unit.  

 

We used to have open recruitment, but the issue, seems to be mistrust, it was very difficult to get people to meet us, even at very public places.  They are in fear of the Government and their slippery ways.  The People set the tone of what will be allowed in the Nation, but people put all their trusts into the people that they elect and feel that they have no power over them once they are elected regardless if they voted for them or not.  Most people just seem content to run on Autopilot to make money and spend it on toys.  Others see the writing on the wall, but again fear comes into play and the loss of their status among others.

 

The Militia needs to over come the Negative view points that have been played out by the bias media and the misinformation and dis-info that is spout about.  Come up with a message about why the Militia has a place in the modern world and why it is needed to fend off an overzealous government.  Militia belongs to the People and their communities.  These members are here to product all Americans regardless of beliefs.   The need and want of the units MUST be willing to work together as a whole and not worry as much about "losing" the command of their individual units but be willing to find away to settle the Command and Control structure without egos and infighting.  There needs to be a common goal: Freedom... the perception of the Modern Militia are whack-jobs and gun nuts.
