Willow, without more details, name of company making job offer , location etc. all I can think to suggest is you contacting the Kansas Better Business Bureau or maybe the chamber of commerce in what ever town or city. I found this online link.

son won't answer my test or calls, such childish behavior. Anyway I appreciate your attempt, thank you so much. It had to be initiated via the union, but what company that wanted their boilermakers I haven't a clue. Daughter told me he'd told her in a couple of months.

I have no idea what city/town he'd be going to, if one at all. Again thanks.

Please keep me posted if you get more details that you can share. I wouldn't put it passed this admin with their buddy buddy relationship with the unions to pull some sort of shenanigans to make it appear that unemployment is not the concern many believed or some other con artist slight of hand scam.

I know there are welders with certain classification and skills sets that are well worth flying in to a job location and paying a high per diem.

I lived out in that part of the country in the early 90's(Omaha, Nebraska specifically) and I coined a term for it and a number of other states in the so-called Heartland . . . Moron Country. And the reason I gave it this name is because I saw how the employers treated their workers and what the pay scale was. Right before I left Nebraska in 96 then governor Ben Nelson was on the national nightly news BEGGING people to come work there. When people are mistreated word gets out, and I suspect now companies are having to offer enticements of numerous variety to get people out there. I wouldn't go back if you paid me . . . well maybe if the price were right. ; )

Still haven't spoken with son, so I'm still in the dark as to who the company is that is calling for all these workers.

I've never lived in that area of America, so I'll have to take your word on the dubbed phrase.

When he had told me some about it, he didn't say how much the pay was going to be that I recall, however, it was up there. He said he'd be e millionaire in a year.
