Defending Freedom, Families, and Communities since 1775 !
Last night I watched the movie “The Patriot” with Mel Gibson as Benjamin Martin and Heath Ledger as his son Gabriel. If you haven’t seen it, the movie is about a man at the beginning of the Revolutionary War who just wants to mind his own business and stay out of the fighting. He had fought in the French and Indian War, and had seen enough fighting and killing to last him for the rest of his life. He wanted to live in peace, nothing more. As much as he tried to remain neutral, the war came to him in the form of terror tactics used by British soldiers against his family and neighbors.
Well, sounds like alot of our veterans here at this site!
I know veterans are ready. This was written for others who think they can sit on the sidelines and let the veterans do the work. The more involvement we have now the less likely the need to take up arms.
Bob I agree with you 100%. I'm currently trying to build a disaster emergency response team out of seattle WA. The intention of this is to get more people thinking like us and prove to the public that we are needed. Believe it or not, all the government agencies are thrilled at the idea of WA State Militia stepping up to the plate and offering to help. I had to ask myself at a certain point "where the hell were we when the public needed us"?.You have all these boneheads sitting in their foxholes screaming "come and try to take my fireamrms" "you can have them when you pry them from my cold dead hands".
Well the truth of the matter is ,lately the authorities have been prying them from our warm dead hands. Did any of the other Militias demand justice on the law enforcement agencies that did illegal unconstitutional raids? No...they did nothing
They did nothing and they will do nothing in the future. Where were we when hurricane katrina struck New Orleans ? Sitting in our foxholes. The next natural disaster or man-made that hits, we will be ready this time to assist any way we can and prove our worth
