Disabled vet on the edge of being homeless
I am a disabled vet who just go an eviction notice . I have been to and called every VA organiztion known to man . They all tell me the same thing . WE DONT HAVE THE FUNDS . Or they tell me someone will call you back . No call backs . I dont know what Im going to do . And I have nowhere to go. I was even turned down for food stamps . They said I bring in $70.00 over the limit . I am going on day three without having anything to eat . What little bit of money I recive from the VA and SSI is not enough to support myself . My only pair of sneakers I own have holes in the bottoms . And every pair of pants I own also have holes in them . Now I know why so many vets puts a bullet in there heads An illegal aliens lives better than I do . If there is anybody out there that know anything please let me know . Thanks Rick

i do go to the one in Surfside Beach . i havent been there . i dont have money for gas . its about 8 miles one way . im just worried about being evicted . thanks you for the info .

I've seen enough of the countryside to know that I'd like it. I found these photos of the area. I've GOT to live where there are forests and trees. I'd never make a flatlander. And I love the mountains, too. I see some of what appear to be Ponderosa pines in the lower photo.

I would agree that the words Homeless and Veteran should never appear in the same sentence. Obama says there won't be any homeless vets in 5 years. I'll believe it when I see it.

If you were in Alabama I would let you stay with us. There 2 other families here already. I can not offer gas to get here. I always feel bad that all I have to offer is a roof. YHWH (God) always provides the food, we have not missed a meal yet. We will be praying for you.
