I for one am bucking for that honor. Come fly over my property and I will try my best to hit that big ugly bird.

I just checked out your posting name - yep, you're in KY. I am in Jamestown, about 70 miles southwest of Lexington. I guess I need to go out and check out the sky occasionally. I don't like this at all!!

Can you find anyone else in Lexington that may have also seen this and gotten photos or video?

What would really help to id these are the numbers and decals located aft of the main wings and forward of the intake shrouding and other markings on the tail wings...

Spot on match is an understatement. {8<{) If this is a genuine no BS report and the photo is shown as an example rather than as an original photo taken by the reporter I am genuinely concerned. No business for those things over KY. The training programs for their pilots were done in Florida and New Mexico to prepare our folk to use them in Afghanistan and that immediate area. Everyone who sees one of these things file a UFO report with your local airports, military installations, FAA, FBI, HLS, Sheriff, etc. Make a noise! >:<(

For the present, IR shielding and solar reflective materials (mirrors), and RC targets will be the most effective deterrants. I do not know whether HLS has a cost benefit model for use of a missile against an individual human target or not. The Target Designator is your target for either signal interruption or defensive destruction. Hey, maybe the nuts wearing aluminum foil helmets aren't so nuts after all. {8<{(

It is a good idea but I "hate" the acronym! Local Area Remote Drone Defense (LARDD)I suppose that detection is pretty much limited to visual at present with word of mouth notification. Oh well, we did it in WWII and if a couple of individuals did their job the Hawaii invasion might have had better notice.

Thanks Forensic1 for the heads up information. You probably heard of the recent drone sighting in elgin Illinois. While researching that, I stumbled on a source that mentioned drones being a part of many air shows scheduled this year. I have yet to learn of any such display in the Lexington area but perhaps you can hear more or know more about the airfields near you where air shows are held. Any further info will be most appreciated

Here's a snip from an ad about a Rockford Illinois Airshow set to display a drone in June.
"ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) -
An airport in northern Illinois will have a Predator Drone on display during an airshow next month.

Chicago Rockford International Airport says the pilotless aircraft will be part of a static display at the 2012 Rockford AirFest. The event is held from June 2-3.

Airport officials say the airshow will be 1 of only three in the country to ever display a Predator."
