Jury selection today with the trial starting right after. There also will be updates posted for those who are on Facebook. I probably will not receive any info until after 5:00 pm central today.

Update @ 12:10 pm cst...........court is now in break for lunch. Jury selection ongoing.

Update 4:43 pm cst......Court adjorned for the day. Jury has been seated, 3 men and the rest women. Trial will start tomorrow at 9:00 am cst. Overall, day went smoothly with no incidence.

Most trials such as this last 3 or 4 days including jury selectiom and other court business interuptions, two or three days testimony mostly procsecution followed by defense and then jury deliberations after final arguements. In the largest percentage of such cases, the defense simply asks the jury to see that there is no real evidence and that the DA failed to prove anything without themselves presenting any real rdefense. I pray this doesn't go that route and that Charles can and does indeed face his accusers and defends himself at his day in court.

The first trial that ended up in a hung jury and was declared a mistrial lasted 4 days including the day that the jury was selected. The prosecution has to meet all the elements and if they cannot do so they have no case.

So essentially there are 3 men and 9 women...No disrespect to women, but the odds are stacked against SGT Dyer with so many women on the Jury. Women tend to look past facts and allow emotions to make their decisions, the lawyer will play to that. I honestly hope to hear the words "Not Guilty" but I have my doubts with this Jury selection.

Recon, typically women can see how vindictive ex wives can be. We believe that this will be the case. I know everyone seemed to be satisfied with the jury selection today.
