Maybe I'm a little behind the times, but learned today that Romney PERMANENTLY banned all assault-style weapons in Massachusetts when he was Governor there. Wonder what he'll do if he becomes President? Food for thought.....

Here's one of the articles I read:

Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns.

Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts, Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.

Like the federal assault weapons ban, the state ban, put in place in 1998, was scheduled to expire in September. The new law ensures these deadly weapons, including AK-47s, UZIs and Mac-10 rifles, are permanently prohibited in Massachusetts no matter what happens on the federal level.

We are pleased to mark an important victory in the fight against crime, said Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey. The most important job of state government is ensuring public safety. Governor Romney and I are determined to do whatever it takes to stop the flood of dangerous weapons into our cities and towns and to make Massachusetts safer for law-abiding citizens.

The new law also makes a number of improvements to the current gun licensing system...

The very last thing I want is a hot revolution, I prefer we make the changes with a vote but that seems to be impossible for some reason! Mass Media is major problem they don't want change and of course that too is controlled by our lovely Federal Government. And we the American People call our selves a free people how dare we!
WE HAVE THE BET CONGRESS THAT MONEY CAN BUY!!!

Maybe our cause could better be served by participating more in the free press. Then WE could get our possitive message out, getting and keeping others aware of our points of view. Think about it. If we can take over the media, we win instead of the other 48%. And we have the 1st. ammendment on our side.

GARY JOHNSON is the 2012 Libertarian Party Nominee
Yes, we must all vote our conscious. But let us coordinate our efforts for a win - if half of us write in Ron Paul and a large part of the Libertarian Party not affiliated with WRAM vote for Gary Johnson then we have failed.
Gary Johnson was Governor of New Mexico from '95-'03, formerly a republican... Just so you know.

I'm not advocating Johnson over Paul by any means - Just saying we should coordinate our efforts and spread the word.

Girlbiker,
Gary Johnson does not address a position about support for constitutional militia's. I went to his campaign page and asked him via email that specific question. We'll see if I get a response.

At 4:06 his answer to NDAA says it all and should exclude him as a Candidate for supporting the suspension of a persons rights without cause or evidence at the whim of the Goberment in violation of his Oath to protect and defend the Constitution.

By his own admission he is guilty of treason.

FOLLOW THE MONEY, Campaign contributions from Big corporations behind both Obama and Romney = Both candidates puppets for corporations not the people. Main stream media covers both Romney and Obama, very little consideration to Ron Paul. Ron Paul is for the people,

I think Ron Paul says it very well in this short video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntGDSlVQL7A

I think he's right. We need both higher ethics and more lobbying on OUR behalf. So I donate to the NRA and the GOA.

Hail to Cesar one and all except we now call ho Obama or Romney. You got that one right RESIST AND FIGHT FOR OUR BELIEFS.

(CNN) - Ron Paul, who has not officially dropped his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, admitted to supporters in an email Wednesday he was not positioned to receive enough delegates to challenge Mitt Romney at the GOP convention in Tampa.

The delegate math, however, won't stop his supporters from voicing their stance on small government and fiscal reform, Paul wrote.

"When it is all said and done, we will likely have as many as 500 supporters as delegates on the Convention floor," the Texas congressman wrote. "That is just over 20 percent! And while this total is not enough to win the nomination, it puts us in a tremendous position to grow our movement and shape the future of the GOP!"

and....

this interesting tidbit of info....the "SuperPacs"

http://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/superpacs.php

Vote Romney, the white Obama (or Obama "light" if you prefer).

...still think your vote counts?

"This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2012 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate
families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates."

Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers."
