Maybe I'm a little behind the times, but learned today that Romney PERMANENTLY banned all assault-style weapons in Massachusetts when he was Governor there. Wonder what he'll do if he becomes President? Food for thought.....

Here's one of the articles I read:

Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns.

Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts, Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.

Like the federal assault weapons ban, the state ban, put in place in 1998, was scheduled to expire in September. The new law ensures these deadly weapons, including AK-47s, UZIs and Mac-10 rifles, are permanently prohibited in Massachusetts no matter what happens on the federal level.

We are pleased to mark an important victory in the fight against crime, said Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey. The most important job of state government is ensuring public safety. Governor Romney and I are determined to do whatever it takes to stop the flood of dangerous weapons into our cities and towns and to make Massachusetts safer for law-abiding citizens.

The new law also makes a number of improvements to the current gun licensing system...

If anyone can not SEE what is happening and how the elections are at every turn being highjacked then I don't know what else to tell you.

Today I voted in the Primary for Texas. The First vote on the Ballot was for "Which candidate is your preference for the Presidential nominee?"

I marked Ron Paul simple enough. According to the door count my wife and I were probably 62&3 for the day at almost 5 pm with the polls closing at 7. That was the turn out for both Dem and Rep in a precinct of approximately 7000.

Being an elected delegate going to the State Convention which is next week I thought it was a little premature for this headline to be on MSNBC:

With Texas win, Romney secures delegates to win nomination

Now after the Caucasus not 2 months ago the report from those in the other counties were saying they too had secured Delegate spots. One County reported 28 of 29 Delegates and in another all 32 delegate spots ALL WENT TO RON PAUL SUPPORTERS!!!

So when you read this in the article:

"Mitt Romney won the Republican primary in Texas on Tuesday, a victory that gives him more than the 1,144 delegates needed to secure his party's presidential nomination."

HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? We haven't even had the convention yet!!!!!!!

And just where did they figure out that he won??? The article never really says.Except for maybe this:

"NBC News projected that Romney had finally won"

Then it goes on to say this:

"The race for the Republican nomination has been largely over since the April 3 primary in Wisconsin. Romney's win in that contest prompted the eventual withdrawals of his remaining rivals: Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul." emphasis added

So now they are FLAT OUT LYING, because Ron Paul NEVER WITHDREW!!!!!

Then Romney himself gets in on the lie by stating:

"I am honored that Americans across the country have given their support to my candidacy and I am humbled to have won enough delegates to become the Republican Party's 2012 presidential nominee,"

HE IS NOT THE WINNER UNTIL AFTER THE RNC IN AUGUST!!!!!!!

Well they did throw this line in there:

"though the former Massachusetts governor won’t earn the official nod until August's Republican National Convention in Tampa."

That's just an after thought though, don't mind that..!

The article finishes with babble about their fight against the Obongo campaign.

This article is just one of many that are all trying to convince people that the election is DONE, Romney has the delegate numbers, he won and just go back to watching the TV and don't forget to vote in November.

June 7,8, and 9th is the RNC Convention in Texas. THIS IS WHEN WE WILL BE VOTING for our states nomination. NOT TODAY!!!!!

Then the National Convention is still yet to be held in AUG.

This is FAR FROM OVER!!!! But they sure hope the dumbed down masses just go along with it and they will get what they deserve.

Now I ask you, WHY ARE THEY SO BLATANTLY IGNORING RON PAUL???

Why have they put forth so much effort and time into making Romney the ONLY choice for a chance at getting Obongo gone from our White House?

What is it that Ron Paul represents that it is so dangerous to them??

What is it that Romney has promised to do to get all this support in rigging an election??

Why is the Candidate supported by more Active Duty Service Members than all others combined being railroaded and disregarded?? That candidate is Ron Paul by the way.

Couple that with rumors of mass arrests and the possibility of a new revolution in this country and you have to ask, what do you think that the Troops watching what is being done to their Candidate are thinking about where this all is headed?? Are they soon to be heading out to yet another middle eastern country to remove its leader and install a new Global puppet for profit full filling the agenda of the neo-cons and their Project for a New American Century?  How many more of their brothers and sisters are going to have to lose their lives or at the very least their limbs, their dignity, and even their minds??

ARE YOU asking yourself what the future will hold for our Nation when we are nothing but much older or much younger people and most of our young men and women are not more than 14 years old and we are left with a nation of battered veterans to tend to??

Which is exactly what we left in Afghanistan after we helped them oust the Russians in the 80's and then bailed on them. Of course that was by design so that by the turn of the century there would be a hot bed of ticked off young men who experienced first hand the intervention of Empires in their lives and how they tore their country apart. This fed the ranks of the so called Al-CIAda giving the PTB the excuses they needed to implement the Police State here at home and sell our souls to the highest bidders.

THIS is why I support Ron Paul, THIS is why I am putting forth the effort to get him on the ballot in Aug as the ONLY person able to remove Obama. Unless something happens sooner.

Who do you think those DEMs or Liberals who have become disenfranchised with their hero are looking at? Just ask John Stewart, Bill Maher, or Colbert.  RON PAUL!!!

We talk about turning points coming and something about to give, well guess what? The point is right in our faces. This election is it! And the way it goes and the way it turns out is going to touch a lot of hearts and minds, especially our Troops.

Sure the Senators and Congressman are important, they are one of the 3 Branches. But, there is no denying that this Presidential Race may very well be the final straw for a lot of fed up and ticked off people.

Think what you want and vote how you like, but for me it is most definitely that and so much more.

The line is drawn and I am standing before it, waiting....

DITTO
I am tired of another election being vote for the lesser of the two evils. I notice this happening many elections ago.
ONE MAN CAN NOT SAVE THE COUNTRY! BUT ONE MAN CAN DESTROY THE NATION! THINK ABOUT IT.

WE HAVE THE BEST CONGRESS THAT MONEY CAN BUY!!!

ETXPatriot, I salute your participation in your precinct election and your upcoming delegate work at the Texas GOP conention.

"Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-1) is our keynote speaker who will address the convention delegates, alternates, guests and sponsors on Saturday, June 9th. Speaking at one of our new Breakout Sessions, is Texas Congressman Ron Paul, leading a session entitled "Uniting Republicans and Balancing the Federal Budget.” The RPT thanks all of our speakers for making the effort to travel to Fort Worth, Texas and participate in our 2012 State Convention.

Delegates to the state convention meet both as a whole body and by state senatorial districts every convention, as well as by congressional districts in presidential years such as 2012.

Meeting as a whole, delegates to the state convention ratify the Party rules, adopt a Party platform, and elect the State Chairman and State Vice Chairman. In presidential years, they also ratify all delegates and alternates to the national convention as well as the Presidential Electors and elect a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman." I hope you find the choosing of the delegates to the national convention and ultimately the eletoral collage as set forth by our U.S. and States constitutions rewarding. I further hope you see that it is states laws that decide the process also as established by the Constitution. I think it becomes clear that the elections are not simply about DEMOgraphics but rather true REPRESentative and equal suffrage. Wheather you seek and are chosen as a state delegate and or electorol collage elector, I sincerely hope you realize the extreme service you do your community, state, and country and I thank you./p>

Funny that you mention the headline 'With Texas win, Romney secures delegates to win nomination'. One of our local San Antonio news stations was making this exact claim yesterday evening. The bias is so obvious, it is sickening! They even went so far as to state that voter turnout was low due to the Primaries already having been decided at this point. I detest the MSM.

Quote from David Rockefeller:

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years."

"It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."

Because the different states have ways of doin it, it makes it nearly imposible to keep it straight that caucuses and primary elections do different things in different states. Some states have both not to mention the conventions. And it's up to them as established in Atricle 2. and ammendment 12 to come up with the "electoral college". It's easy to throw our hands up in the air and say it's rigged. But It really is all there in the constitution we here claim to be ready to die to defend.

We either are or we aren't aren't we?

Yeah. I find this area quite confusing. Caucuses, delegates, primaries, Oh my!!! I'll try reading it AGAIN.

And let's not forget the "straw polls" eeee gads. LOL

Every time I hear or read "straw polls" there are 2 visualizations that come. One of a fist with short and long adult beverage straws, then a plastic camel with open bags saddlebag style on each side of the barrel holding these same straws. I think it was a kids game back when there were dinosaurs. Oh, and a 3rd vision--a couple bales of straw up in our barn...Harvard and Yale in nature. Hahaha...

LOL Then you see why we're so better off having one banking and currency system instead of 50 state ran conglomerations?

I agree. We can not chose and pick what parts of the constitutions we want to defend. While the national debate is important, we are losing at the local level of government. We have failed to make the difference in our cities, counties, and states. The corruption in the national government is only a reflection of the corruption in our local governments. The national politicians come from our local politicians. Until we take back the local governments (if we can because it might be too late) we will not have the influence on the national. Again just MHO.
