When I was assigned to the US Army Intelligence Center and School, I noticed a person standing on a hill overlooking the installation taking pictures of the installation. It looked suspicious to me so I reported it to the post Counter-Intel office. The acted as if they didn't care. ?? Maybe my perspective was incorrect, or was it theirs?

direction this country is headed

should

strike fear in the heart of every

Christian,

especially knowing that

Muslim

religion believes that if Christians cannot

be

converted, they should be

annihilated.

Ok. I am not Christian... and I am NOT NOT Christian... does that not make me American? Perspective!

On the MUSLIM National Day of Prayer - the Muslims decided to pray in DC and procured the appropriate legal docs to do so... and Obama prayed with them. Perspective! Next...

THE USA, (AHEM) IS NOT CHRISTIAN! It was set up on 'RELIGIOUS FREEDOM" - WE OLDER FOLK REMEMBER THAT.

So any group can pray in Washington... perspective!

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a National Day of Prayer.

In 1988, President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.

This year however, President Obama, decided to cancel the ceremony at the White House not wanting to offend anyone.

Presidential candidate Barack Obama declared the USA was no longer a Christian nation. Now see if you can wrap your brain around this: On September 25, 2009 from 4am until 7pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion will be held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House. They are expecting over 50,000 muslims that day in DC.

WHAT EVIDENCE?

The scripture verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14 says "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." ..... this becomes more important each day. Please share this with your friends.

PERSPECTIVE! It's time to look at all truths... and become one as we accept each other. If there is a war going on, let's be clear who the enemy is!

Yes... and the quote doesn't mention any religion "MY PEOPLE" - all the people of earth!

You are wrong. This country, America, was set up on JudeoChristian principles and in fact found its beginning in a quest for religious freedom for those beliefs. To say anything else is untrue and propaganda. No matter what Obama said we remain a Christian nation. He's ONE president of many. Not of all of which were wonderful, but this is is ONLY one that is blatantly in opposition to The United States of America.
Why did Islamists come here to begin with? If they're so happy with their Sharia Law and female circumcision, beheadings, honor killings why didn't they stay in the Middle East to enjoy their own belief? WE here in AMERICA do not accept and WLL NOT accept such things. NEVER! I can see no reason for the location here except in an attempt to expand their "religion" which is more a political ideology expansion and domination than anything else.

I concur...we are indeed a Christian nation founded on Judeo Christian principles and I beg to differ with anyone who states otherwise. We will never accept Sharia over our Constitution...there will be a bloody battle before that would happen.

Beg to differ with you, Lady Hawk. True, this nation was founded on the free exercise of religion, but it was specifically stated that religion was to have no position in government as a "state religion". The founders were, primarily, from England where the state religion was the Anglican religion. It and the state were intertwined (like the Muslim states are now. Free expression of any other religious followings were not tolerated. (The same as in the Muslim states now, but they did not go around killing non-Anglicans nor burning down their houses of worship with them inside -- as the Muslims are doing now). Our nation was based on Christian morals but not dogma. We did not base it on Buddhism's principles, nor atheistic principles, nor did we base it on the specifics of any Christian sect.

I could go into a long dissertation of the legal history of the laws of the US, but you will notice that they are based on the laws of Hammurabi, the ancient Hebrew laws, English statutory and common law, and in one state Napoleonic law. The US has never singled out one religion as a preference over any other. We incorporated any law that made sense in governing the behaviors of free people that would not infringe on the God given rights of any other person.

In my mind, the supreme being can have any name we choose, I don't believe that He would not listen to prayers of someone who just called him "Hey You" so long as those prayers were to Him in the person's sincere heart.
