PATRIOT or BLIND PATRIOT??? That is the question!!

American Patriotism
and the differences between
Defined and Undefined Patriotism

The American Revolution provided a form of "defined patriotism" by establishing a Declaration of Independence that possessed a "definition of certain inalienable rights of the individual". Those who fought during the revolution understood the Declaration and fought for the "defined meanings". George Washington read the Declaration of Independence to his troops so there was no question as to what exactly they were fighting for;

This is opposed to "blind patriotism" practiced by undefined or vague nationalistic endeavors of a Nationalistic (socialistic) styled government and its subjects who follow blindly after its lead; They are only told that they are fighting for their country. It is a term that has no defined meaning but for a border. It mainly relates to the government of that country wishing to protect from being taken by another country's government; or wishing to take control of the other country's government.

Examples:

1.) Defined Patriotism is based on defending and promoting a unalterable written description that cannot and does not change;

2.) Whereas Undefined Patriotism is purely emotional fervor which deals with symbols, images, Flags, borders or indefinable banter such as the English "For God and Country" which definition can change daily.

Though the government may involve itself in its actions of itself through internal bureaucratic decisions or by the American public which it is to serve, the government cannot be considered a driving force of American patriotism. This is because the government itself can be removed if it steps outside the purpose for which it exists;

See the Declaration of Independence: "That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it..."

It can be said that through the protection and practice of American styled patriotism of defined individual rights, the whole of the populous is protected by justice that respects those defined rights.

Where by all other forms of patriotism, the individual and populous is subject to the whims and ideals of whoever is ruling them at the time. This is considered "Blind Patriotism" or "Blind Nationalism".

Such blind undefined patriotism /nationalism can be experienced when governments attempt to drum up public interest in involving their country in war or a cause. The use of flag waving and heated speeches are often used to establish patriotic grandeur in their position and find great fault in the opposing political party position - real or imagined. It is often also used in political banter against ones opponent.

By establishing a defined unchanging description of patriotism of certain, defined inalienable rights, True American Patriotism differs itself from all other forms.

This however does not mean that the federal government of the United States does not practice and promote blind patriotism toward its general public in the form and use of propaganda. Propaganda is the tool, method and practice used in promoting blind patriotism and blind nationalism for nationalistic causes and to find political favor for the involvement of the United States in war;

Rarely do these actions establish certain inalienable rights of True American Patriotism, as defined, in the countries "liberated or conquered". More than often, a English styled "Total Democracy" is established by which the people remain under control of a government that gives its people "privileges" that can be taken away by a vote or leadership decision.

Such is the difference between patriotism's of "Nationalist societies or total Democracies" whose laws change (undefined patriotism) and those of True American patriotism through an American Republic which bases itself on those laws that do not change of certain, defined inalienable rights of the individual (defined patriotism).

American Patriotism is not of pride, but of defined principles.

This can be further established by looking at others views throughout history:

Journalist Gilbert K. Chesterton wrote in 1922 that America is "the only nation in the world that is founded on a creed. That creed is set forth with dogmatic and even theological lucidity in the Declaration of Independence."

Patrick Henry: "Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom.

No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES."

George Washington said: "[W]e ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.

Declaration of Independence: "[T]o secure "these" rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

True American Patriotism is not blind national pride:

All these point to a defined definition of Patriotism exclusive of True American Patriotism and not national Pride such as presented by other countries; and attempted at times in the form of propaganda by our own federal government.

This is not only my opinion and that of the American Patriot Party, but that of the founders and others of history past;

Here is John Witherspoon, founding father and signer of the Declaration of Independence:

The Dominion of Providence Over the Passions of Men, Princeton May 17, 1776: "You are all my witnesses that this is the first time of my introducing any political subject into the pulpit. At this season however, it is not only lawful but necessary, and I willingly embrace the opportunity of declaring my opinion without any hesitation that the cause in which America is now in arms is the cause of justice, of liberty, and of human nature. So far as we have hitherto proceeded, I am satisfied that the confederacy of the colonies "has not been the effect of pride", resentment, or sedition, but of a deep and general conviction that our civil and religious "liberties", and consequently in a great measure the temporal and eternal happiness of us and our posterity, depended on the issue."

American Patriotism is an exclusive difference and a definition of patriotism in that it is defined.

The fact that vague nationalistic pride and blind patriotism, such as most countries embrace as a exclusive description to patriotism, offers and presents the stark contrast to a truly free country that insures and defends defined certain inalienable rights;

I will further describe how the United States, by other's words, present shortly after the Constitution was signed had been corrupted by disregarding the original clearly defined intent of the Declaration of Independence and has reverted to a undefined blind national patriotism.

Robert Ingersoll, Decoration Day Oration of 1888 "When their independence was secured they adopted a Constitution that legalized slavery, and they passed laws making it the duty of free men to prevent others from becoming free. They followed the example of kings and nobles.. They forgot all the splendid things they had said.. the great principles they had so proudly and eloquently announced. The sublime truths faded from their hearts. The spirit of trade, the greed for office, took possession of their souls."

At the Rochester Ladies' Anti-Slavery Society in 1852, former slave Frederick Douglass stated American patriotism had been reduced to "swelling vanity".

Which "swelling vanity" is how most articles describe patriotism; and is a good description of blind national pride and of blind undefined patriotism.

There are two distinct definitions that each American should consider when faced with decisions regarding freedom and national propaganda and that is whether or not the issues and resolve are from defined or undefined patriotism;

Making their decisions accordingly.

Here here William Barnes, I have been posting things like what you said on FaceBook for along time now. If we in fact don't get ourselves United physically, mentally and united in full agreement as to what we are fighting for, what our goal is, then we have lost already. Some , a few will say I am there! But that's as far as it goes. WE NEED OUR COUNTRY AND GOD GIVEN RIGHTS BACK.....WE ALSO NEED TO INCLUDE GOD IN ALL OF OUR PLANS!!!

William,, i didnt write the article! I found it after searching for hours on what true patriotism is verses the Blind Patriotism i see all over the nation!! Many claim to be patriots but go right along with the pro quoe of politics!! My intension is to show the difference in standing for the founders hard work and the documents that made America free and different than any other nation verses the ones that claim Patriotism and go right along with the polititions that are destroying this nation!! Thus Patriot or Blind Patriot!!

I have often wondered if it would be wise for us to stand openly! If there be but a few it would seem very unwise and those with much to hide would simply target such a small group and take them out! If the numbers are large however, it would be wise to stand up as a group and be known, for then the opposition would fear such a large body of like minded committed men! I have stood alone against this trainwreck we call government but never really alone! I dont mind running point, in fact I insist on it!

I agree 110% with Minuteman....It is our generations duty to fight to keep this a free country, if not for us, then for future generations!!! I consider myself to be a true Patriot of this great country!! I will give my all, at anytime I am asked to stand if not before, and I will stand shoulder to shoulder with any other true Patriot...We need to bring this country back to law and order, to live by the Constitution and the bill of rights!!! That is suppose to be the law of the land, based on Biblical laws and freedoms!May God still Bless our country and its genuine Patriots!!! "defined patriotism"

True patriotism always emits itself from a learned position, that which inspires the individual into a continuious position of participatory responsibility, to that ideal which is greater than those which he is told to follow; either by influence or conjoling to support a stated and not a heart felt ideal. Accepting the battle cry for the politicial theatrics of those who lead the general population into a determined position for an idealistic end game, only exemplifies the ignorance of the uneducated and those blinded by their personal pride and desires.
As was stated in the article, George Washington read those ideals to those who already had the truth of "inalienable rights" etched in their hearts by their moral standards. This is not to say that some were not influenced by the greater possibility of Freedom, by that which was being witnessed to them. They were guided by a new light of a greater truth, which produced a new hunger in their hearts for the future.

Modern man has been inundated sence birth with a false patriotism, that his only responsibility is to follow those laws, statutes, and regulations because that is all he knows. This was as true during the time of the American Revolution as it is today. Uneducated to the knowledge of where Freedom originates from, and from whom gave it. Without that simple understanding, man can always be lead to follow blindly a "patriotism" that is ordered upon him, and nothing more.

It does my heart good to find the men whom I had missed over the ages! went to war in this revolution well over a decade ago in our corrupted courts fighting these pretended acts of legislation which deny rights and plunder for profit! I have fought the good fight and remained a free man standing against the tyrannts charade. That being said; there are political herds of two parties, neither are actually keeping american principles and freedom! You cannot be a democrat or a republican and be an american! No man can serve two masters! What is a patriot? A patriot is the person who stands up for principle and rights against all who deny them for each and every individual! Our nation is being destroyed from within by the dogooders who pass laws of exception for groups of people who already have the rights we all do! As I stood in the court knowing I would be thrown in jail alone, and completely right about the law, I wondered, where are the good men? Where are those who keep the law? I spent four days in jail refusing to justify the action by making bail and rejecting the public pretenders. The jury trial came and I was acquitted of contempt by a jury for telling a corrupt judge his error and exposing his corruption to his face in a rigged mickey mouse trial! I found out then that I was the good man and the defender who could lay the law up against the oath and take them to task! What is a patriot that has not stood the test of being tried by fire?

Ty William, but there is a reason we get sucked into the battle! Its because we can! I lost my life and property in the battle but the score is 14 me zero state! 3 judges, 2 DAs, 8 assistants, and a court clerk all had to go! I am ready and looking to help, especially with the legal aspects of defending rights!

Are you folks reading my comments or what ? Did I mention electoral solutions ?
The whole point of this exercise is to let people know that "they" are the Gov't . When you elect you take your chances . At the local level it's even more important or critical.
The Muslims have a huge say in this Country and why is that ? They are using our laws against us .
That's what we're doing only we're fighting the Gov't with the rules of the game , the Constitution , and the other groups you mention are "Not" a Lawful Politic Body , a huge difference . This is one reason the Tea Party isn't stronger . They are now a political action committee and are in a position where corruption could be a factor . And I co-founded ours . With obvious concerns by the folks they have not shown the guts to continue with the fights we should be in . They have left their base .
It's very obvious you've given up as others have here and have a closed mind or am I off base here? It isn't good enough to just wait for it to happen . Trust me on this ; I have measures and counter measures , but for me as long as there is a chance I'll continue to fight and be ready at the worst .
I think your first paragraph is wrong but the last sentence is right on . Now let me ask you how you plan on getting people together ? Especially when bullets are flying ? I can tell you first hand , things change real fast and we have no chance against a war on us . Probably won't last long no matter how gung ho one might be . It's frightening to contemplate . "They" have the plan and at best we don't .
I've been to war and unless you have a plan your chances go down considerably .
Maybe I'm just lucky but my neighbors are great and they watch my back .
You're also right on when you talk about accountability . I do as I say I will but if somebody has given up , so be it .
Soggy-lawful-democracy , should be soggy-legal-democracy and it's just a play on words but with meaning . Lawful is justice , legal is not . It's corporate , as DC is the Corporation .
I'm at a disadvantage as I live in the mountains . If I can I'll be in town asap which is part of the plan . Good Luck !
