WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!
We have all been reading the questions that deals with what is the best weapon for the average Joe.
Well I have always said that that weapon has to be the one that you happen to afford.
Remember this. All weapons, no matter how many thousands of dollars you spent for the weapon will have problems. And the major problems will take place when you need that weapon the most.
But also remember that all weapons will kill. That is why they are called WEAPONS.
But do not take my wprd for it. See the Attachment below.
Forgive me Ladies for using the term, 'Average' and for not including you when I used the term 'Joe.' I meant no Insult. Just not used to having women ready to stand beside the men in this Up and Coming Fight that just happens to be out there in front of us, somewhere.

Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on May 26, 2012 at 12:05pm Never got the chance to have a 22 Cal Rifle while in Viet Nam. But I understand where you are coming from.
Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on May 27, 2012 at 9:01am I agree. The Video was to show those who just happens to be the owner of a 22 Caliber rifle that rather then run away, point and pull the trigger of his or her lowely 22 Caliber Rifle while the time is right.
That is not to say if they have the cash, they should only think about buying a 22. Anyone seen the 17 Caliber Shell Yet? More powder then the 22.
Look it up.
Permalink Reply by Mark Gardner on May 27, 2012 at 5:57am A good rule of thumb is to use any caliber and weapon that will effectively kill a deer. While the 22 is a great training round and good for small game it is no battle round. If forced to use it I would certainly employ it to "upgrade" at the earliest possible convenience. If you cannot afford a centerfire rifle by all means learn to use what you may "find" on the battlefield.
Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on May 27, 2012 at 8:56am I look at it in this way. I do not care who you happen to be. No one wants to be hit even with a BB. I have in my den a bb rifle that is credited with killing a few people. Now, we do not conect bb's with the death of humans. But we do connect death of humans to the Lowly 22 Caliber.
Many people have gone down due to someones carelsssnes.
Tell me that I will be shot with a 22, a 25, a 32, a 30 or 38 and I will be looking for a fast way out of the room.
But should I ever get hit with a bullet, I can hope that it would be a weak bb and not a 308.
