Police kill Fla. man after allegedly eating another's face
I think this is one damned good reason to keep up the heat on illegal drug use and dealing.

Disturbing new details and surveillance video have been released in an incident off a Florida highway that involved naked men and cannibalism. The incident ended with an officer fatally shooting one of the men.
Larry Vega witnessed the attack and says, "The guy was tearing him to pieces with his mouth so I told him, get off, you know, and the guy kept eating the other guy away, like ripping his skin."
Vega describes it as a scene out of a horror movie on the MacArthur Causeway exit as a naked man chewed off the face of another naked man.
Vega went to flag down a Miami police officer. He says, "A police officer came over, told him several times to get off and a police officer climbed over the divider and got in front of him and said, 'Get off!' And told him several times and the guy just stood his head up like that with a piece of flesh in his mouth and growled."
When the attack continued, Vega says the officer fired but the man continued to chew flesh off the victim. The officer fired several more times, eventually killing the attacker.
A Miami Herald surveillance camera caught the aftermath as the two men laid side by side on the ground. Vega says, "It was just a blob of blood. You couldn't really see, it was just blood all over the place."
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with missing flesh. And according to a source, his face was not recognizable.
Vega says both the men appeared to be homeless and he believes the attacker may have been on drugs. He says, "He looked like he was on something. Either he was really psychotic or he was on crack."
Miami police have not identified the attacker, nor the victim. But Vega says he cannot shake the image he expected to see on the big screen and never on the streets of Miami. Vega says, "Pretty gruesome, that's one of the most gruesome things I have ever seen in my life in person. You know, you see these things in the movies."
The victim remains in critical condition. Sources say the victim's injuries are some of the worst they've ever seen.

I get the impression that the officer saw the scene as so unbelievable that he needed a little more time (mercy time) to register the input and act as trained to. My rush to judgement about the use of drugs being involved is normal I hope because rarely are such crazed beings found to be drug free. Or do you know of data showing otherwise? And believe me, I understand blood lust.

There has been a rash of this kind of stuff hapening all over the country and knone of them had drugs in there system after the toxecolegy whas perforemed they all came back negative fore drugs so i wouldnt be gumping on the drug band wagon. it seems there is something else that is cuasing these popple to become inraged nuts are zombies.

Someone please tell me how this has anything at all what so ever to do with Militia and getting organized.
Commenting on Zombies and such is a waste of space and time.
Now if you want to post a legitimate discussion on the failed war on drugs, by all means go right ahead.
But really, is this something that is going to do anything to further our cause here???

No offense intended,Sir. I began the discussion as what I believed to be an interesting police shooting of the times. If you see no value in discussing such matters then just say so and I'd be glad to remove it. I also thought the war on drugs in America's streets was of interest and of need of some discussion. Of course I can be wrong in my thinking and opinions and am here mainly to learn and offer what little knowledge I may as an ordinary opinionated American. Please advise if I'm at the wrong forum.

Thanks Ranger, I had heard awhile back of a 'nodding disease' afflicting children in Uganda but this is looking far worse and closer to home. Not that I discount the plight of the Ugandan children. but without a need for fear or panic. My biggest concern is the likelihood that this sort of thing and worse can be engineered and used against us by any number of enemies. Thanks again for all of your info.
