Police kill Fla. man after allegedly eating another's face

I think this is one damned good reason to keep up the heat on illegal drug use and dealing.

Disturbing new details and surveillance video have been released in an incident off a Florida highway that involved naked men and cannibalism. The incident ended with an officer fatally shooting one of the men.

Larry Vega witnessed the attack and says, "The guy was tearing him to pieces with his mouth so I told him, get off, you know, and the guy kept eating the other guy away, like ripping his skin."

Vega describes it as a scene out of a horror movie on the MacArthur Causeway exit as a naked man chewed off the face of another naked man.

Vega went to flag down a Miami police officer. He says, "A police officer came over, told him several times to get off and a police officer climbed over the divider and got in front of him and said, 'Get off!' And told him several times and the guy just stood his head up like that with a piece of flesh in his mouth and growled."

When the attack continued, Vega says the officer fired but the man continued to chew flesh off the victim. The officer fired several more times, eventually killing the attacker.

A Miami Herald surveillance camera caught the aftermath as the two men laid side by side on the ground. Vega says, "It was just a blob of blood. You couldn't really see, it was just blood all over the place."

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with missing flesh. And according to a source, his face was not recognizable.

Vega says both the men appeared to be homeless and he believes the attacker may have been on drugs. He says, "He looked like he was on something. Either he was really psychotic or he was on crack."

Miami police have not identified the attacker, nor the victim. But Vega says he cannot shake the image he expected to see on the big screen and never on the streets of Miami. Vega says, "Pretty gruesome, that's one of the most gruesome things I have ever seen in my life in person. You know, you see these things in the movies."

The victim remains in critical condition. Sources say the victim's injuries are some of the worst they've ever seen.

‘Zombie Apocalypse’ Strikes Louisiana: Carl Jacquneaux Arrested After Biting Chunk from Man’s Face

The ‘zombie apocalypse’ has spread to Louisiana.

In a gruesome attack reminiscent of Rudy Eugene’s face-eating horror show in Miami, a Lafayette Parish man is behind bars after allegedly biting a chunk out of another man’s face during a weekend attack.

KATC reports that 43-year-old Carl Jacquneaux of Scott knew his victim, Todd Credeur, and was upset over a domestic issue. Credeur said he was working in his yard when Jacquneaux arrived at his house and viciously assaulted him. The crazed attacker bit Credeur on his face, tearing a chunk of flesh from just below his eye.

“During the attack, the suspect bit a chunk of the victim’s face off,” Scott Assistant Police Chief, Kert Thomas confirmed.

Horrified, Credeur sprayed a can of wasp killer in Jacquneaux’s face to repel the bloodthirsty ‘zombie.’ It worked; the assailant left and went to another acquaintance’s home in nearby Carencro where he held the man up at knifepoint while stealing a gun.
Police arrived shortly thereafter and arrested Jacquneaux.

“Very unusual, it’s not something we see everyday,” Thomas told KATC.
Jacquneaux, who is being held in the Lafayette Parish Jail on a $312,500 bond, has been charged with aggravated burglary, simple battery of the infirm, violation of probation, aggravated second degree battery and violation of protective orders.

Credeur has been released from a local hospital and is recovering at home.
Jacquneaux’s zombie-like behavior could be due to drugs. A friend told KATC that she believed he was using bath salts, which can cause feelings of invincibility as well as paranoia, hallucinations, convulsions and psychotic episodes.

It is believed that ‘Miami cannibal’ Rudy Eugene, shot dead by Miami police over Memorial Day weekend while chewing off the face of an elderly homeless man, was under the influence of bath salts.

The drug is also being blamed for another episode in which Brandon De Leon, a 21-year-old homeless Florida man, growled at and tried to bite a police officer. De Leon was arrested in North Miami Beach on Saturday.

These latest violent attacks are the latest in a wave of what many have dubbed the ’2012 zombie apocalypse.’

After the Miami incident, Wayne Carter, a 43-year-old from Hackensack, New Jersey, disemboweled himself and threw his own skin and intestines at police officers as they forced entry into his home. Two cans of pepper spray did nothing to stop Carter; a SWAT team had to be called in to aid in his arrest.

Then came the most horrific news of the whole “zombie” wave: up in Montreal, a kitten-killing gay porn star named Luka Rocco Magnotta murdered a 33-year-old Chinese student named Lin Jun, beheaded him, cut him into pieces, sodomized the dead torso, ate pieces of his body, fed some of it to a hungry dog and mailed the victim’s hand and foot to the headquarters of Canada’s two main political parties. Magnotta, who was captured in Berlin, Germany on Monday, filmed the whole grisly murder and its aftermath and posted it online.

Last Thursday, Maryland police arrested Alexander Kinyua, who confessed to killing his roommate, cutting him into pieces, and eating his heart and brains.

Also on Thursday, New York police arrested Staten Island pizzeria owner Thomas Tomasello for biting off part of another man’s ear during a diner brawl.

That same day, the US government took the highly unusual step of issuing a statement denying the existence of zombies.

Is there really a zombie apocalypse going on? After the horrific cannibal attack on Ronald Poppo by Rudy Eugene during Memorial Day Weekend in Miami, it seems as though a new zombie-like story has come about every day.

NOT AGAIN! Miami Man On Bath Salts Tries To Bite Police

There have been four attacks altogether since we first heard about a possible "zombie apocalypse" less than two weeks ago. But why is this happening? U.S. police warned of a new mind-altering drug called Cloud Nine, which may be the cause of all this insanity.

Cloud Nine is an ecstasy-like drug. It is part of a new line of over-the-counter bath salts, which was the cause behind the Memorial Day Weekend attack where Eugene, a growling naked man, chewed off most of Poppo's face.

DETAILS: Bath Salts: The New Crack Cocaine

While on Cloud Nine, users experience heart palpitations, nausea, hallucinations, paranoia and erratic behavior. The drug, which can be snorted, injected, or swallowed, has been described as being similar to amphetamines, cocaine, and LSD, and is reportedly so potent that it is often sold as a form of plant fertilizer.

These side effects all fit the behavioral description of each cannibal attacker that we've learned about so far:

1. Rudy Eugene: The most well known case thus far. Eugene was shot and killed by Miami police while eating the face of Ronald Poppo on May 26. He was reportedly high on bath salts. Poppo is now recovering in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

2. Brandon DeLeon: This 21-year-old homeless man was high on drugs and drunk on Four Loko when he tried to bite off a police officer’s hand after he was arrested for disturbing customers in a Miami fast food restaurant on June 2. DeLeon repeatedly banged his head against the patrol car plexiglas divider while yelling, "I’m going to eat you."

While at the police station, he then tried to bite the officer who was tending to him. The police report noted that he "growled and opened and closed his jaw slamming his teeth like an animal would."

3. Carl Jacquneaux: Accused of attacking Todd Credeur at his home in Scott, Louisiana, this past weekend after he became upset following a domestic issue. Credeur reportedly managed to spray Jacquneaux, 43, in the face with wasp spray to stop him from eating his face. A friend of the victim said she believes Jacquneaux was under the influence of Cloud Nine.

4. Alex Kinyua: A college student, 21, used a knife to carve up Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, before eating his heart out and parts of his brain.
He then went on Facebook to brag about it to his friends saying: "Are you strong enough to endure ritual HBCU mass human sacrifices around the country and still be able to function as human beings?"
