Absolutely, Faraday cage, Faraday room, Mylar blanket, Microwave oven, Galvanized garbage can.... etc.

The Faraday cage is one way to protect your electronics but be careful how you build it. I recommend solid metal not mesh, I wouldn't trust the safety of my electronics to anything but solid metal surrounding the devices. make sure the interior of the container is insulated, as in rubber or dense foam lining all sides, top and bottom. Leaving no metal exposed in the interior.

There will be some who insist on using copper mesh for large objects or vehicles. If you use mesh, make sure it is properly grounded to a grounding rod. Simply covering an object will not work.

Equipment can be "purpose built". Some stationary, some mobile.Some for containment and some for prevention. The faraday effect can be used along with a wide variety of construction methods and materials.
