REAL THREAT
"Super Conservative" Supreme Court Judge Antonin Scalia made an announcement on Sunday that is very Significant, and no one seems concerned.

The reason I view this as very significant is because I believe he is sending out a signal that the time is right for dramatic and intense gun laws to be imposed on U.S. Citizens.
To sum it up, he has signaled that "the 2nd Amendment allows for deeper regulation".
I believe that (we) all understand that the 2nd Amendment was put in place to allow citizens to protect themselves from a Tyrannical Govt. This being the case "us citizens should have equal firepower as the Govt" Nuclear Weapons, Select Fire and Full Auto, Armored Vehicles (Tanks), and access to the latest and greatest jets.
Now none of us could afford these items, but the fact is if we could, there are already laws in place to prevent us from owning "equal firepower".
The U.N. Small Arms Treaty quietly fizzled out last week. But the events of 7/20/12 have encouraged the powers to seek more control. All of the children and people murdered in Chicago each weekend is barely a blip on the radar (and Chicago has some of the most over reaching gun laws in the land).
I see Scalia's comment as a signal to lawyers and the Senate as a Signal that the Supreme Court will Support more over reach. I don't know how it will manifest. Probably with "black rifles" or Ammo. But either way it's going to wind up costing the gun community a whole lot more money. Be Alert... Stay Awake... It's coming!

You are right about Scalia sending a signal. I wonder who will be the first to step up and challenge American gun rights? Obama is now looking into online ammo buying, seems any business doing well in America this administration will destroy it. I guess black market ammo is the answer,I can smell the profit.

Being the go to (conservative) Judge on the Supreme Court, Scalia's comments (signal) suggests that any legislation in question regarding gun control will be rubber stamped by the Supreme Court... is how I take it. The fact that gun control doesn't work, is irrelevant.
We gotta figure out how to prevent B.S. laws from even getting to the Supreme Court now.
