Kenneth, every state should be doing this. I say we all call our representatives and get this going!!

There are 31 states that already have this law, or it's equivalent, on the books (I may be off by a few states) so check the law for your particular state. After the Katrina debacle this was a hot topic and there were drives in many states to see that it never happened again. Even federal efforts to stop this were sought. Here in Georgia it is already illegal for any state official or LEO to confiscate guns EXCEPT the governor if there is an emergency declared. HB 26 will take that power away from not only the governor but all federal agents as well. I'm not saying this is being done because of a real fear on the part of legislators that this might be in the works, but, given he current political situation in America, it's entirely possible that our politicians are becoming afraid of what our government has planned for us.
