WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!
Break the track of any tracked vehicle and you stop that tracked Vehicle. Nex you take out the vehicles sighting system and you cause him to shoot blindly. If you happen to be armed with something really bad in the power department, you aim for the Turret Ring. The Turret Ring is where the turret is connected to the tanks shell.
It will be hard doing all of these things. But with the correct weapons anything is possible.
A Track can be broken with something like a big piece of steel. And I mean Big. Stick it where it will ride along on the track when the track vehicle is moving forward or in reverse. It should come in contact with one of the Road Wheels and the piece of metal should not be big around, like a bowling ball. It will work much better if it is pointed on the ends. If you do not have such a piece of steel, try using a big rock.
Sure you will be taking a chance of catching a hand in the track where it goes under the Road Wheel but not a very big chance if you are fast and sure of what you are trying to do.

In low range 1st. at 2000 rpm (80% power) the dozer started to stall until the clutch was disengaged. Track plate bent about 1.5 inches.

Ghosts in the darkness,
The militia cannot do what OWS did because the situation would escalated to the point of no return. I for one want something to kick off because this country is on a downward spiral. I seriously doubt things will get better for us. I want to take care of it now so my son don't have to.
Sorry if this speech is to harsh.
Inventer,
I would say that would do the trick. 20 lbs isn't that heavy as long your only job was to throw track.

Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on July 13, 2012 at 8:39pm Check out the track in the pictures in the Upload Files. You will see the center down the middle of the track. You would have to get your plate steel to hang in the Center Guide until it reached the Roadwheels. And even then there is no sure fire way that it would throw the track.
Most people are assuming that we won't have any tanks, I believe and know many people that are serving on active duty that are on our side. oh BTW one would be hard pressed to stop a Abrams A1 or A2 with a Rock I don't care how big it is... It would eat it and spit it out and shoot you at the same time.

A "DG-19 72 Inch Ph Digger Bar" might slow a dozer down and I think used rightly one could pin a dozer down at a stand still.. An Abrams,,,, I guess I would just have to try and see.
Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on July 13, 2012 at 10:06am The M1 has a Turbine Engine that is like those used in Jet Fighters, from what I have heard. It is as large as a Car at least. I do not think much will stop one unless used correctly and in the right area.
Permalink Reply by Chancy Yardbird on July 13, 2012 at 10:16am The Honeywell AGT1500 gas turbine engine is the main powerplant of the M1 Abrams series of tanks. The engine was originally designed and produced by the Lycoming Turbine Engine Division in the Stratford Army Engine Plant. In 1995, production was moved to the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama after the Stratford Army Engine Plant was shut down.[1]
Engine output peaks at 1,500 hp (1,120 kW), with 2,750 lb-ft (3,754 N-m) of torque at that peak.[2] The engine can use a variety of fuels, including jet fuel, gasoline, diesel and Marine Diesel.[2]
During the early 1970s, the AGT1500 was developed into the PLT27, a flight-weight turboshaft for use in helicopters. This engine lost to the General Electric GE12 (T700) in three separate competitions to power the UH-60, AH-64, and SH-60

Permalink Reply by Chancy Yardbird on July 14, 2012 at 12:09pm I agree with Dan. Too many people I think simply assume that WE don't have or won't have, or can't do or won't do. The reality is we can and will. Take this video as an example. 1/2 scale is a self imposed limit that can just as easily be adjusted to uparmored full scale or even double that.
