Yes Applecider vinegar or lemon juice soaked bandannas make a useful breathing filter when faced with teargas. Baking soda should be used to decontaminated the skin. Never rub, scour or or apply hot water, only cool rinsing and flushing.. And never apply contact lenses.

The best treatment for pepper spray and some pepper pellets sometimes confused for teargas is a cool fresh milk rinse.

I Know this Vinegar apple Juice Lemon Juice and activated Charcoal are excellent neutralizers and cleaners. When the time comes Improvise with what You Have at Hand!!
Cranberry Juice works well too!

Thanks guys. Probably ought to put a kit thing together and toss it in the glove box. So it looks like the pepper spray is just that and relies on capsiason as the irritant while tear gas must be lye or alkaline based. These are good things to know. {8<{)
