WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!
Tell us why you're here. Tell us what skills you have. Then we can all learn from each other.
I would like all of us to begin by stating why you even joined the Georgia group. Be honest, if you joined for no other reason but to check out a recent heated debate then that's ok just say so. If you joined to try to establish a network of like minded individuals then we are definitely interested in talking to you.
Tell us what woke you up to what's going on around you. We don't want to know what specific preparations you have made but I would like to know what you're focusing on. What are you good at? That way if one of us has excelled in one particular field we may all be able to benefit from that knowledge. We should all be bringing our individual skills to the table and sharing with each other what we know.
I don't have much more to say on this subject. It will be up to you to continue this discussion. It will be up to you to fill in the blanks, and it will take every one of us to improve every other members survivability. It's up to you.

Permalink Reply by J.W. DeMarce on May 19, 2011 at 2:49pm Well, folks, I'm not interested in the restoration of civil liberties because those are mere privileges bestowed by beady-eyed men (and women) scribbling on paper; and often times one must make some sort of sacrifice to attain or retain them. Instead I want to retrieve my God-given inalienable rights that organized government of all stripes has sought to take from me in so many ways that shoe and sock removal might be required to get an accurate tally.
I want to see an end to the fraud money system in America (really our largest and most important enemy as it is the empowerment mechanism behind all the usurpation) and I want do disembowel the administrative law system that has displaced the de jure system we once had, where a man (or woman) was free to do anything they wanted as long as they damaged no one or interfered with no one else and you didn't have to seek permission from government to do as you pleased with the aforementioned, and clearly understandable, constraints.
When I first joined this group I was turned off by the childish fraternity aspect and frankly just quit paying attention. I'm only here today because I received notice that I would be removed if there was no activity. I wanted to find out if things were still the same. If they seemed to be, I was not going to be grieved about being dropped.
At one time I referred to myself as a Constitutionalist, but I do that no longer. It has become a tool that is employed against us by the oligarchy.
I try diligently not to interfere with what others do and really wouldn't otherwise care what that might be as long as they leave me and mine alone. When they fail in that, I work hard to get even.
My secondary education was in economics and to be frank I'm just waiting for the butt to fall out of the system here and I know that unless truly freedom oriented people, those that understand the nature of the mistakes that have pushed us into the swamp we must deal with now, are ready to flow into the power vacuum that will result, the future looks pretty grim.
Permalink Reply by CavScout7D6 on May 24, 2011 at 10:29am Well said J.W., I like your Libertarian mind set and would like to add one other item to this list of reasons why our country is teetering on the brink. We as a people have forgotten that it's ok to let some one fail. We are so busy propping up individuals and company's who should fail that we have forgotten that there are lessons to be learned in failures. Now a day's the only lessons people are learning is that there will all ways be some one there to catch me if I fall. We can no longer afford this hyper helpful attitude financially or socially.
You can only postpone social Darwinism for so long, and then every thing comes crashing down.
Permalink Reply by joshua merritt on May 8, 2011 at 9:07am Well let me see where to begin. First of all I moved here from Washinton State 3 months ago after getting back from a deployment in Afghanistan. Yes I am active duty military, but dont let that fool you, I am a constitutionalist, a member of the Oath keepers and take these stations in my life very seriously not just for my family, but for my nation and then myself. I have 2 combat tours in the Army under my belt, one as a machine gunner for convoy security in Iraq and my recent deployment as a machinegunner for a Route Clearance platoon in Afghanistan. I work with SECOM on teaching different classes, Everything from First Aid, Urban ops, Detainee ops, Convoy ops, and know how to train tropps for good order and discipline. I am hoping to be able to help all members in GA and the region for standardizing training and organizing to help protect our nation in future hazards that may arise. Before I was in the army I worked as an engineer, mostly mechanical and structural and can design anything from vehicles to houses.

Permalink Reply by john smith on June 1, 2011 at 9:26pm I do not think I have answered this, but why am I here? Well for the longest time I have seen this country go down hill. When I was sixteen I would tell my mother and rest of the family that the government is getting too big, and it is only a matter of time before they will try and control everything we do. She said that it can't happen here, now she is running around with the Tea party in SW florida, and she says i was right.
I have served my community my whole life, as a Firefighter Paramedic, CERT Member and within our SDF, and have gotten to the point that I need to truly follow my oath and defend our constitution, and yes the enemy is at the door, in fact that are in the door chopping away at us little by little and this has been going on for years.
So those rose colored glasses are off, and I have decided to totally commit to someting bigger, someting worth fighting for.
What can I do. Well I am a CLS instructor, I teach for ECSI and ASHI, and am a good field medic so I am told. I have taught aspects of urban combat and survival, and can handle myself in the brush, but know I can learn more, so I am here to help where I can, meet good people network, and try and help bring our country back to a Constitutional Republic, and if that does not happen in my life time I can help train our young to carry on the struggle.
Permalink Reply by Don Barnett on June 29, 2011 at 7:14pm Armed and Dangerous…… Do you remember when this was a phrase use by police and federal agents describing a criminal, someone to be careful of because they may do you harm?
Today our government is portraying you the American citizen as being armed and dangerous. Let that soak in for a minute, you the average American that owns a gun is by our government considered to be armed and dangerous. Remember all the talk about the militias being a bunch of radical nut cases running through the woods playing Rambo, and how dangerous they are or were.
I have a question for you. In society today do you see those people as being armed and dangerous or do you see them as concerned citizens, everyday Joes that only want the freedom that our Constitution grants by the sovereign hand of God. Do you know enough about our history to be frightened of this government that our elected officials have stolen from the states and the citizenry? Do you see the treachery that the ruling elite have perpetrated on you? Can you imagine what is in store for those that will not bend to the dictates of government in future days? Do you see history repeating itself as 2012 rolls in? You should! If history has taught us anything it is that history does repeat itself. The last line of defense that we have is the Militia, average citizens that will stand against oppression. Our government will turn on us the American people just as sure as the sun comes up in the morning. Yes we are armed and dangerous, but only to those that would rob us of our inalienable right to LIFE, LIBERTY and PROPERTY as was originally written. Thank God for people from all walks of life, from every race and creed that are willing to stand and be counted….and yes we are armed and dangerous.
