WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!
H.R. 973 (Mrs. Adams & 50 others):
This bill would prohibit any Article III court from considering “foreign law,” in whole or in part, in deciding any case -- unless the laws or Constitution required it. There has been an ongoing fight between the liberal and conservative wings of the Supreme Court concerning the extent to which U.S. courts can be influenced by foreign law. This issue is now picking up increased relevance for gun owners because of the UN small arms treaty currently being blocked in the Senate -- and because of another UN treaty, currently being negotiated, which could require licensure of American firearms and ban semiautomatics. The reason this bill could be relevant is that, even if we were to succeed in blocking ratification of these bills in the Senate, some legal scholars would argue that their ratification by virtually all other UN members could make their provisions part of “international customary law,” which, they argue, would apply them to the U.S.

Permalink Reply by Nam Vet on April 14, 2012 at 5:51am Whether we join up with a group or not, the thing that matters most when it comes to Gun Control is to keep control of your own guns. Do not Obey Obama, The UN or Anyone in Congress that tells you to turn over your firearms.
These are not good for America.
Obama, the UN, and Socialism. That pretty much leaves out the Democratic Party as well as the Republican Party Leadership.
I see Romney as a Weak Man just as I seen Obama to be a weak man. These two men are not leaders and I do not see Romney choising a Good VP. Sure some Militia Members will support Romney's pick if it is The NJ Governor, but not I. I feel that the VP should understand Military and that means one man. Allen West. Any arguments?

Press Statement
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Washington, DC
October 14, 2009
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conventional arms transfers are a crucial national security concern for the United States, and we have always supported effective action to control the international transfer of arms.
The United States is prepared to work hard for a strong international standard in this area by seizing the opportunity presented by the Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty at the United Nations. As long as that Conference operates under the rule of consensus decision-making needed to ensure that all countries can be held to standards that will actually improve the global situation by denying arms to those who would abuse them, the United States will actively support the negotiations. Consensus is needed to ensure the widest possible support for the Treaty and to avoid loopholes in the Treaty that can be exploited by those wishing to export arms irresponsibly.
On a national basis, the United States has in place an extensive and rigorous system of controls that most agree is the “gold standard” of export controls for arms transfers. On a bilateral basis, the United States regularly engages other states to raise their standards and to prohibit the transfer or transshipment of capabilities to rogue states, terrorist groups, and groups seeking to unsettle regions. Multilaterally, we have consistently supported high international standards, and the Arms Trade Treaty initiative presents us with the opportunity to promote the same high standards for the entire international community that the United States and other responsible arms exporters already have in place to ensure that weaponry is transferred for legitimate purposes.
The United States is committed to actively pursuing a strong and robust treaty that contains the highest possible, legally binding standards for the international transfer of conventional weapons. We look forward to this negotiation as the continuation of the process that began in the UN with the 2008 UN Group of Governmental Experts on the ATT and continued with the 2009 UN Open-Ended Working Group on ATT.

Permalink Reply by Minuteman on March 26, 2012 at 4:35pm Dear Patriots of America,
Have you signed your Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey yet?
The National Association for Gun Rights has collected over 750,000 signed Official Firearms Sovereignty Surveys against the UN Small Arms Treaty with tens of thousands of more pouring in each week!
But if you haven't yet signed, please go ahead and do so by clicking here. http://www.nagr.org/UN_RP_Survey2.aspx?pid=3/26B It's vital that your Senators feel pressure to oppose the UN Small Arms Treaty from grassroots gun rights activists like you.
Once you have signed your Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey against the UN Small Arms Treaty (or even if you have signed it before), I would like to ask you to do our Second Amendment rights a small favor.
By forwarding this email to your family and friends, you will be letting them know that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have their sights set on advancing, and passing, the UN Small Arms Treaty.
Click here to forward the Official Firearms Sovereignty Survey right now.
On the page I link to there is a space for a personal message. Please make sure to add a short note so your friends know what the email is about.
This is an important step in growing the grassroots gun rights army opposed to the UN Small Arms Treaty.
I hope I can count on your action today.

They will pry my guns from my cold dead hands. This is bullshit. We have tons and tons of guns in america and be damned if I see us go down like a bunch of whimpering babies. This should alert all gun owners, hunters, and sportsman. All I can say is prepare and be ready.
Permalink Reply by Terminator Girl on April 7, 2012 at 8:29pm Oh no, it will be by stealth ... starting with an innocuous little thing like registration ... Understandably, this is for the blue hats, but this IS HOW THEY WILL DO IT!
How do you kill 11 million people? You lie to them, of course. How do you disarm a country? Lie to them, of course.
On page 42, Weapons Registration, and I quote:
2.5.2.3 Weapons Registration
Legal weapons should be registered according to the national legislation. Weapons registration
allows two things to happen: first, people can retain some of their weapons and
feel that they are secure; and second, international peacekeeping and national security
forces know approximately how many weapons are in a given area. This is particularly
useful in future disarmament campaigns as a check for success by counting weapons
collected in comparison with the registry.
The registration process should be jointly run by international and civil agencies, or by local police, and monitored by international forces. This will help prevent international forces from becoming known as the 'new enemy' and will also increase the legitimacy of the local forces, as transparency through supervision is possible.
Registration is a simple process that requires accurate information collection and sufficient personnel. It does not require a large amount of equipment, storage or security.
The problem with weapons registration is similar to those faced by most weapons control
techniques – people do not want to come forward. A comprehensive preparation of a
society preceding disarmament creates a positive situation that allows registration, perhaps
as a first step in the disarmament process, to proceed. Assurances must be given by international forces and/or local authorities that security is not a problem and that registering does not mean that weapons will immediately be seized. Incentives are often used to encourage registration, ranging from positive measures, such as food and money [OR WATER OR GAS], to negative ones, such as harsh laws and forced seizure of weapons. Registering weapons
makes it possible to input serial numbers into an inventory and track their future usage
and trade. This helps increase transparency and implements controls.
Databases of military and police weapons help track weapons to their place of origin and
limit unauthorised transfers. At the same time a comprehensive system of safe storage, weapons management and a code of conduct for the existing military and police forces can improve the security situation and legitimise civilian disarmament. One of the best examples for this is the safe storage programme for police and army in Cambodia.
This section is especially chilling: “…weapons will not immediately be seized…” immediately seized? Get it?
