hi all, still wanting to hook up with the militia in Wasilla. also i would love to find a small lot that I can bury a bunker on, really in a hurry to buy a cheap lot 5-10 thousand max, I have seen some in willow and houston area. would like one north of palmer, high and dry so I can dig down at least ten feet or so. sutton, chickaloon area would even be ok.

When considering AK as a "good place to move", just keep in mind one potential issue...

If there is a sudden disruption in shipping and trucking, how long will your food, medications, and fuel last? Will you have enough fuel to keep you warm all winter?

When supply stops coming from the lower 48, do you think there might be a little civil unrest resulting?

How likely is an event that could disrupt supply, such as earthquake, volcanic activity, economic collapse, civil war, world war, 50m rise in sea level, or invasion from Russia? If one or more of these were not likely, would you even be thinking about joining a militia?

Probably the worst areas to be in are: a) targets (NY, Wash. DC), b) remote states dependent on shipped staples (AK, HI), c) proximity to nuclear capable military bases, d) E & W coastal areas, e) on or near a pressurized fault line, f) on or near a "dead" or dormant volcano/caldera, g) any area that is extraordinarily vulnerable to EMP.

We are a group not bound by political sides, financial interests, racial or religious divides. We are at a critical point in the history of America when the freedoms we have inherited, we now have to fight for. We are not only concerned, but willing to lay everything on the line to fix this. This is an open call to any American citizens who feel there are serious issues with the direction, leadership, and policies of our country and who wish to stand and make a difference. We have logical answers to the problems we currently face. We do not come to you asking for money or contributions, but for your support. Right now we need people who are willing to help us gain influence and unite American patriots nationwide. We will be launching our national campaign at the start of summer. This includes a website, contacting both local and national news affiliates, and all of our country’s representatives. If there is a way, a chance to do something, would you? We offer that chance.

I'm currently in touch with IronArtist from hometown of Wasilla.

It's great news that the Alaskan militia is alive! I understand Alaskans get real busy during the short summer season, and need to attend their gardens and jobs. It's very smart to have a garden, especially this year. Kudos to ya!

I expect there are many more self-make Alaskan men that will volunteer once the action starts. I hope you are prepared to provide leadership and required training.

Keep in mind you will be dealing with some strong frontier personalities, who ain't necessarily inclined to be social unless survival requires it.

When they do contact you, they will already recognize the value of helping each other towards common goals, but being social could be a challenge for them. On the plus side, they will know exactly what they're good at, and they're the type to take full responsibility for execution (of their assignments), but may prefer to work alone or in groups of two, kinda like the movies "Death Hunt" and "Southern Comfort" rolled into one.

Be prepared.

2. Anchorage = Anchorage Munincipality Defense Force.

Central Alaska Militia covers Glenallen to Fairbanks, Tok to Nenanna.

There are also units in the Kenai, Valdez who controls coastal defense units) and a Northern unit as well.
