Yes, I helped setup the nationwide OathKeeper HAM network on shortwave. We have frequencies on 80, 40, and 20 meters - general HAM license required for shortwave. The technical license - the first HAM license you get is only good for VHF / UHF - extremely limited range. Shortwave is global in reach. We have established specific listen and callin times plus alternative freqencies. I'll be glad to help, but how do we maintain the communications plan, how do we get that information out - definitely not here. Finally we have weekly telecons, so the effort is ongoing. We have also implemented digital communications. Now that all sounds nice, but an infrastructure is required or you're just spinning your wheels.

It's one thing to talk, another to implement and follow through. The follow through requires another route of communications and with our leadership. This information is not for open distribution.

Greetings Michael, I interrested in joining a net on 40m or 20m I have a General license and control experience. on 80m I have rf issues which I haven't been able to run down yet. Give me a shout we'll see how it goes. I was in Navy MARS for three years as net control a little rusty but I can pick it back up np. tc Bob

Do you use a tuner and what kind of rf issues are you having? I may can help..... the only antenna I have up right now is in the upper part of the 75 meter band. I was in Army MARS at one time......

If we've got access to a Satellite or some such we could talk about an Alternative Internet I guess.
