Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, it is unlawful for any person within this State to knowingly manufacture, deliver, sell, purchase, or possess or cause to be manufactured, delivered, sold, purchased, or possessed a semi-automatic assault weapon, an assault weapon attachment, any .50 caliber rifle, or .50 caliber cartridge. Provides that beginning 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, it is unlawful for any person within this State to knowingly manufacture, deliver, sell, purchase, or possess or cause to be manufactured, delivered, sold, purchased, or possessed a large capacity ammunition feeding device. Provides that these provisions do not apply to a person who possessed a prohibited weapon, device, or attachment before the effective date of this amendatory Act if the person has provided proof of ownership to the Department of State Police within 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act. Provides that on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act, such person may transfer such device only to an heir, an individual residing in another state maintaining that device in another state, or a dealer licensed as a federal firearms dealer. Specifies penalties for violations. Provides exemptions. Provides that the provisions of the Act are severable. Effective immediately.

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 relating to unlawful use of weapons. Increases the penalties by one class if a semi-automatic assault weapon or high capacity ammunition was possessed in the commission of the offense. Defines "semi-automatic assault weapon" and "high capacity ammunition". Effective immediately.

William,, we the people have to stand against this!! This just will not effect the people in IL. There will be other states that think it will be ok to do it to!! This kind of shit is an american ordeal not just an IL. ordeal!! Spread the word brother but keep it clean as you go!! The state of IL. Legislators have provided the proof that they are the real criminals on this one and if this passes then those legislators have endangered the people and the LEOs of their state!! This is a very dangerous peice of legisltion for all America!!

GB,, i wished this was BS but as anyone can see it is real!! That is ok though!! We at WRAM will get the word out and stop this shit!! THATS RIGHT SHIT!! PLEASE SPREAD THIS ALL OVER THE NET!! VIRAL TIME!! We need to send them a message that they cannot and will not just do as they please anymore!! If this passes then there will be hell to pay in IL.. This will be sad that the very people that stand to fight them to keep their legal firearms will be made the criminal for standing up for their rights!! The real criminals are the Legislators that put this shit on the books to try and make it law!! Everyone of them legislators should be imprisoned for treason right now!!
