Would allowing the economy collapse in order to call a "major national emergency" allowing the implementation of martial law to finish off a power grab to finish off the constitution?

I am sure they will vote the debt ceiling higher, but I just had a hypothetical question I wanted to ask.

Not a stupid question. It seems obvious to me that Obama is working against the United States, at least the United States that most of us know and love.
