Mike G I wasn't asking for a debate, nor was I asking for the insults you just lobbed at me. I'm don't believe the liberal media. I do however, pay close attention when I talk to former members of MOM that left it because Trochmann was a bit too "white supremacy" for them. Some of these men are personal friends, some are just people I have met in the militia world, but they all say the same things Mike, and it ain't good. I live in Montana Mike, I know what went on.

I didn't realize you needed the code. Exactly as written and if you train, then you are training for Civil Disobedience. That's what we train for. Those who have gone too far and we need to protect our families and homes. I've made contact with someone who has someone who will need my support the day the world changes as we know it. I spent eight years in the Marines being a true Patriot, but that was long ago, decades. I wish to carry that same honor to a group of Patriots that need to come together for the safety of the group as a whole. I don't want to be shooting everyone who comes up my road as I don't know many here and am new to the area. Hopefully, I'll meet with fellow Patriots who want to protect their families and homes and we could get some firing in on my property. I have a good area for a range. Practice will save your life. This state has done its best to destroy the intention of the Constitution by calling for a militia. I miss training with my fellow brothers in Las Vegas. We did map reading, repelling, and of course, firing drills. That was truly acting as a group for the greater good. Maybe I'm just too old now, but I can still fire a gun and that is what I'll do when the time comes.

Well Mr Houston, He's never done anything that would cause me alarm. I am aware of many things, some true, and much more drummed up media hype. I'll assume there are other big names you believe what the media tells you or the internet claims is true. With that I will not debate you any further on it.

Mr Kirby-
Personally I too would love to see all units be able to get the respect and not be shunned by so many in society. This just simply isn't the case anymore. It was that way 200 years ago, but we all have let things get out of hand. Now we deal with the cards we have left without foolishly squandering our few wagers we have.

If you wish to have an open group and challenge things on your day in court, I will watch with great interest and even help in supporting your case financially as I can, just as I have with the Hutaree and some others. Not to pat myself on the back, I merely feel that I have a responsibility to support fellow patriots. Wether I even like you personaly or not, I would support your case (unless you did something illegal or some heinous crime then your on your own) As for myself in the meantime I will be continuing to work on my own 5/10 program and training locally. I simply can not afford a huge legal bill . The fact that thousands of groups exist across the state that the PTB don't know about concerns them, as it should. I was hoping the Home Guard bill would have passed or something and then maybe public opinion could be swayed or at least start too. Since it went nowhere, I'll hold my poker face until the time is needed.

Lastly you seem like you're quite confrontational and deffinately not what anyone I know will be looking for in a recruit. If you're not able to stand what I say, you certainly won't be able to handle some other locals would have to say.

Good luck and I sincerely hope you can gather a good unit in your area, but I won't be setting any meetings up with you. We deffinately would clash, and thats not constructive for either of us.

hate to burst your bubble mike g, but john trochmann is far from well-respected in the militia community. he has been involved in groups that i woudnt touch with a 10 foot pole. do som real research and find out what he has been involved in, and in the meantime, please stop mentioning him in posts on this website. his ideals are not parallel to ours, nor is he someone that any of us should be looking up to or trusting. any group that trochmann is involved with is quite likely to get a very bad reputation very quickly.

I will not open it to registration etc so as not to compete with, or draw from great sites like wram. We can use it for information and comments. Let me know what you think and what you might see valuable in there.

I don't assume because someone, anyone, says a thing it's true. I thought it was a simple enough request that you may be able to answer without much effort, excuse me for the asking.
I believe I found what you all are talking about. Montana code annotated 2011 45-8-109 Civil Disorder (1)[not quoted here]. In short, yes training is criminal, IF you intend to employ that training in a civil disorder then YES it is a felony.
I'm not here to try and change anyone's mind, nor am I here to be insulted. Please don't hand me that spoon fed analogy crap again. You have no idea what my own unveiling of many truths has cost(ing) me and mine. Wanting to understand a thing is no reason to be insulted, I didn't intend such to others. I merely didn't understand the reason for all the secrecy, and I still don't. I'm pretty sure there are many, many 'militias' that choose not to hide. If the secrecy is caused by the above code as a reasonable excuse to hide (which it seems to be) then it needs re-reading, NO insult intended. I know it's been reported that people have been set up and then arrested or murdered by purported authorties, I'm not a freaking idiot. But those ARE the ones that should be held up as examples in courage, not as lessons meant to encourage hiding. You bring to light the truth by action you don't hide from it. Secrecy merely strengthens peoples fears, and people fear the 'militia'.
I guess being a member of a militia could be considered voluntary...so is paying taxes but you probably still do.

I found the law for Montana and it mimicked California. If two or more people are together training with firearms, they are charged with Civil Disobedience, punishable by one year in jail and/or a $1000 fine. That's about as anti-militia as it gets. Operating in cells of two isn't going to get the job done when it's needed. And yes, anyone between 18 and 45 is in the militia under the Constitution.

You are welcome to look it up yourself Mr Kirby. Mr Trochman is a very well respected person in the militia community. He has no reason to lie and if you aren't aware of who he is, I suggest you do some research. Don't wait to be spoon fed everything. I'm sorry but I don't know you and you expect to pop up and I'm supposed to give you numbers, units, assets, locations etc just like that? While I would like the time to do lots of research, it simply isn't feasible most times.

What part of the secrecy don't you get? If it can land you in hot water, why do it? Many in the militia movement are military trained, so it only makes sense that military terminology is used. Why reinvent the wheel? As far as OPSEC goes, it's for all those involved. Many use the cell group system so make no mistake. Communication goes on all the time. Those that are training and preparing are not "hiding from the very people {community} they are supposed to be helping". They know they must be careful not to tip off the people who want to destroy liberty. The Hutaree militia case is a good example of why sometimes it isn't good to be visible.

You are also welcome to start your own group as others have done. It's easy to criticize and do nothing. Start your own group. If you look hard enough, you will find others.

BTW- militia service is not mandatory. Do some research and you will learn it is a volunteer organization.

I keeping hearing the word OPSEC. From who? Your own members? It's mandatory to be a part of the community you are empowered to protect. This is just as frustrating to me Mike KIrby. I have two years of MRE's and 5,000 rounds of ammo and no place to train or people to train with or trust. It's so frustrating that I also think this group needs to work harder at bringing people into the loop. Otherwise, they could be the ones being shot at.

When you find the actual code section that makes illegal certain organized or unorganized 'groups' that are not conspiring to break the law please let me know. I'm trying to understand this while secrecy thing without the military trerminology. How can any group, supposedly there to help others in time of emergency help anyone at all when no one knows who to contact?
I may be in the wrong place here. I'm not interested in becoming a part of some paramilitary organization that hides from the very people [community]they are supposed to be helping. Sorry for wasting everyones time.
