WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!
I'm new to all this and want to know what is the official outfitting or clothing of the Wyoming group?
What type of fatigues do I need? what type of pack should I have? What type of combat boots should I wear? What type of body armor should I get?
The options are endless!
I don't want to be the proverbial "sore thumb" when I show up for training, gatherings, and protests.
Also, if anyone has a second hand handgun for sale, that doesn't require infringements like in state ID, background checks, and whatever. I can provide as many character witnesses as needed, but it's not exactly the 2nd amendment if I have to comply with the list of restrictions and regulations just to BUY it. I have no problems getting the licenses first if need be. I've never done anything violent, and do not have a violent criminal history. I want to cut out the federal government from my choice, and have my 2nd amendment. Without it, I'm worthless as a member as I will have no teeth.
I'm adding this as a discussion because I know I'm not the only 1 in this position, and newer members may have the exact same problems with the exact same questions. I have no idea where to post it anyway. Somebody fill me in on the operations and standards.
Should I cut my hair?
I bought a .22 pistol from my brother without any paper work I'm sorry I can't help you with a source to get a gun though. We're not an official state militia so I don't think we have specific state wide uniform. You might try looking for local militia men in your town or county for their regs.
They shouldn't be un-ashamed to talk about it if they're in it. Most people in Wyoming who think it's "silly" aren't as judgemental as in most places & might be able to mention at least one person they know. If not it should be to hard to find your local Tea Partyu or 9/12 group that might include militiamen. Also Wyoming Tyranny Response Team on facebook might be able to help out. or look for other Wyoming groups there.
oops, sorry I think I meant "they shouldn't be ashamed"
Your first weapon of choice should be a sharp mind.
Does your area have gun shows? They would have good information.
I prefer this 'outfit' [Link]
I'm new and joined a few discussion groups on the board here to check them out...
I don't know about where you are but in FL private sales at gun shows are allowed as long as local ordinances allow it. I know the last one I went to in Sanford, FL had tables set up with private sellers.
I'd ask your State group about any local Militia groups...
Found this, not much information though, [Link]
Find the website that promotes the gun shows in your area and give them a call, they would know.
Your in Wyoming right? Check here [Link]
Your also allowed under the current laws to make your own for your own use...
I don't totally agree with this article John. He makes it sound as though we have something to be ashamed of.
I took it as a humorous way of pointing out how to blend in when your not wearing tactical/professional gear depending on the situation requirements.
Obviously that doesn't apply to training etc.
No disrespect intended, just two new members talking...
Until I find a local group to join, I'm holding off on any purchases.
I do think the A-TAC is interesting! [Link] (I put the link in for others who may not know about them)
I don't know how many there are who are militia & aren't on this site on ingood ol' Wyo. We haven't physically done anything yet.
This site isn't a Militia, it brings Militia groups together to share ideas and communicate with each other.
You can look for WY groups here as well [Link]
