Greetings, all. My name is Dan, I'm in my mid-50's, and I'm a recent transplant to the Chicago suburbs. I grew up in Southern California (which I usually refer to as the People's Republik of California), finally escaped to central Iowa 4 years ago, then moved to the Chicago area last year when my job in IA went bye-bye.

I am looking forward to being able to discuss current affairs and political action with others who share my concern and sometimes disgust with the way things are going in our country. The Constitution of the United States clearly defines what our governments can and cannot do, but it seems that nobody in power seems to care and we the people don't seem to be able to make them care.

Let's take back our country. Let's make our elected representatives remember that they were ELECTED and they can be removed from office. Let's remind everybody that the country belongs to the people, not the other way around.
