I am quite certain we all have state maps in our possession. I am also quite certain we all have a compass or GPS unit. what I would suggest we do is to attempt to standardize which map, coordinate format, and perhaps mapping software program we are going to use for land navigation. I am by no means saying we all need to run out and buy all new stuff. Just let's inventory what we have available and perhaps see what is out there for cheap (read as free), and go from there.

The first map that I might suggest is a New Mexico Aeronautical chart, free at most regional airports, it will provide you with a vast amount of directional information, altitudes, aiport locations (down to farmer Bob's landing strip) and runway layouts for airports. Roads not so good, but do you know which way runway 21 at a particular airport points? This map/chart will provide you with that info. More later Boss just called me to work.
