I am in Dublin and I have been working on getting organized in Franklin county. From what I have seen, the best way to go about it is to find a small group of people you trust absolutely and organize them into an active group. Schedule regular meetings and work on getting your plans together. Once you get to that point, reach out to other groups and establish a network of organizations that know about each other in advance and have some level of trust among each other. So far, this has been the hardest part. I have stopped trusting any outside people claiming to want to form groups until I meet with them face to face and get some kind of evidence that they are serious and what their agenda is. I do not associate with anybody who wants to discuss active, forceful overthrow of any part of government or doing anything that would be considered dangerous or resorting to unlawful behavior. I believe in the federal and Ohio Constitutions as the supreme law of the land, and you should look for people who feel the same way. Any talk outside of taking a defensive posture makes me nervous. If you want to get together face to face, I prefer to meet in the Polaris area at a crowded public restaurant. I have been very disappointed at the lack of organization and focus from the so-called statewide organizations, because although they are good at rural areas, they seem to be unable to get any traction in large urban areas like Franklin county. I am taking up the mantle of organizing in Franklin and Delaware counties myself out of selfishness and serving my own best interests, since I have not seen many people being successful at it up until now.
