Lawmakers cannot redefine the terms used in the constitution for what it meant the day the ink dried it means now~They can no more define the militia to control it by way of shifting powers to those already subscripted into service, than they can pass this right on to the chinese military! Not every act passed as legislation is law, it is meerly the will of the treasonous bastards who wished it!

Okie- unfortuately, one of the classes (the National Guard) can be Federized by POTUS, rendering them useless to Oklahoma!

Agreed! Hope Oklahoma is well prepared for what may be coming. I live up in Ma., but went to college in Okla. Since my state, Ma. has "outlawed" Militias, I plan to head to OKC when the SHTF to help out, got 25 yrs. of L.E. experience locally in Ma. & at the Federal level & over 20 yrs. of EMS experience as an EMT on an ambulance in Ma.

I'm organized! I know where my MRE's are, Where my ammo is, and all my necessities are....all else in unorganized and on the run. Doing the Scout Recon thing....

Hello I'm new here. I'd like to say HI. I know we need to organize. But is there a strong chance of being recognized and maybe having bad repurcussions from local authorities? I'm in a small community here. There could be some with powertrips.

How so. We are a legal constitutional militia within oklahoma. There is nothing illegal about what we do. Period.

I'm glad to hear about being legal, but I was talking about local law enforcement maybe feeling resentment that they may not be the most powerful force around if there is an organized and competent group of armed citizens ready to defend their rights. They are use to being the biggest baddest gang in town. They sometimes violate peoples rights, maybe following orders, or maybe out of convenience, and they might feel threatened. It's just hard being the first one, not knowing how they will react. Have you heard of any resentment like that?

free man- keep in mind that the Oathkeepers have vowed to never let America fall to Socialism & Communism. About 80 to 90% of the Oathkeepers are active & retired Police Officer, active & retired Firefighters & active & retired EMS personnel. Why several of the Oathkeepers are even Police Chiefs & Sheriffs. I hope that clarified who the majority of the Police & Sheriff feel. I, for 1 am a retired Police Officer & retired Federal Police Officer with over 25 yrs. of experience. Feel safe, the Police will be in the fight on the right side.

I mean it looks like there would be more than 100something members. Are there other legal militias in Oklahoma? I know 2 or 3 guys at least, in my limited circle, that are concerned that with the way things are going, that we may well need a militia. Sorry, I dont mean to be difficult, but this is a serious matter to me. I've been at a loss as to what we can do, to protect our families,if someone tries to take away our way of life, or our very lives.
