I don't know if anyone knows what the "hum" is or if anyone has heard this, but I am starting to see a relationship between this "noise" and irrational behavior in my area (So. West VA).
The intensity has picked up quite a bit lately, and since there seems to be very little discussion on the net about this it has me wondering.
My best guess since it usually is between dusk to dawn is that it causes a form of sleep depravation, which could cause confusion and general fatigue and an aggitated state.
I have read some private research into this that actually this sound could be used to prevent siezures in a dog that was not responding to anti-convultion meds. This lends itself to believe that it can modify behavior.
I use the term "sound", but it appears to be more RF in nature as it cannot be recorded on any audio media. Research shows that only 2-10% of people can hear this, and personally I have 4 ex-musician friends that knew exactly what I was talking about when I described what I was hearing.... (sounds like a large diesel engine varying in pitch under load), I think you can discern it better with a musicians or audiophiles ear, but if it is RF, it would effect all regardless.
If anybody else is aware of this / or encounters it please reply to this post , I'm trying to get a plot of transmission as it seems to be somewhat directional.
((Nobody does something for no reason at all, it is better to be aware of all angles with this administration)).

Permalink Reply by Rikki Heinis on June 28, 2012 at 8:12am I've not heard anything strange in my area (San Antonio, TX). I have seen a lot of videos on youtube about odd noises being heard around the globe though and have never stopped to consider that it could be used to modify behavior. That is a very interesting theory and I would say that it is possible if not likely.
I have to admit, I am severely sleep deprived which has been causing aggitation however, I think I can pin point the cause of that... my 1 mth old daughter! Haha.
Permalink Reply by James Vincent on June 28, 2012 at 8:43am I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in the sandbox & as a result I have a seizure disorder. However, since getting my hearing aid & hearing those noises, I have been totally seizure free for a long time now. Who knows.
Well, at least there is a positive outcome from this sound for you James, I never thought of that possibility of a healing therapy. Sorry about your injury but thankful for your service for freedom and liberty.

Thanks for the input.
This is a report that I picked off the internet, describes it better....
Permalink Reply by Rikki Heinis on June 29, 2012 at 11:27am I do have tinnitus in one ear however, as this report states, it is more of a high-pitched ringing sound. I can't say that I have ever heard anything like this "hum". Fascinating report though!
Permalink Reply by scott decker on July 2, 2012 at 11:04am do you have a wind farm in your vicinity? or any high voltage power lines ? i have heard a hum associated with both.
Permalink Reply by Rikki Heinis on July 2, 2012 at 11:49am There are no wind farms in my area and no high voltage power lines, that I am aware of. I'm going to check into that though, thanks! I would do most anything to get rid of this annoying ringing!

There isn't anything out of the usual that could be causing it out my way or near some of the other "hearers" that I know.... we're all rural, nearest HV transmission is about 10 miles, no wind turbines, mining, heavy industry.
I know what you're talking about.
This varies in low freq. pitch, oscillating, somewhat directional, usually not during the day. You could put on shooters muffs and it doesn't matter.
Now here is food for thought... this thing was really loud the last few nights, we had really bad weather, a million without power at one point.
Permalink Reply by Rikki Heinis on July 3, 2012 at 7:50am Strange that the noise would increase with the weather. I wonder if HAARP has been known to create such sounds?
Thanks!, a lot of info there.

Permalink Reply by Liberty Forus on July 5, 2012 at 6:48am There are basically two possibilities, natural or manmade; intentional or not intentional. It appears that generating audible sound from inaudible sources is a physical fact. We may be causing it unintentionally with our current technology. It may also come from extraterrestrial causes(i.e. from solar activity and our atmosphere)where the conditions for audible sound generation occur naturally. It is also possible that man-made sources could be causing it; i.e. military projects from countries with advanced projects using you as a guinea pig.
At any rate, it is possible to get audible sound from inaudible sources.
