WRAM - We dedicate our hearts, minds and bodies to protecting our great Republic!

Friends and Patriots of Texas,
I have worked for a fast food restaurant (jack in the box) for the last 2 years and it has had its share of ups and downs. Most of the downs began last fall when an independent investor bought all Jack in the box locations in San Antonio and the surrounding area. I have been an Assistant Manager for the last few months, the money isnt as great as back when we were owned by the corporation and it is to be expected. What isnt is the heavy level of stress the managment goes through, I for one work an average of 64 hours a week and only have one day off. It has ruined a relationship, kept me from attending meetings and trainings, and pulled me away from my sense of patriotism. Until YESTERDAY.
I was told by upper managment that a plan is going through the upper offices to instill LONE STAR (Texas' Food Stamp system) as an acceptable form of payment. I for one am disgusted with this and am curious as to how far our government will allow this to go on. The responsibility of the parents of course has alot to do with the choice to eat there, but I feel we have an obligated responsibility as Tax payers to tell the government that this is going to far! The modern American society as I have come to see is lazy enough as it is, and the vast majority I have seen are just looking for free hand outs from anyone that will let them have it. Children are not recieving proper nutrition under these house holds and not enough is being done to ensure that our taxes are put to good use by those that should be using it to take care of their needs, not their wants.
I don't know if I am just venting or rambling, but I feel that I can't let this go. if they go through with this, I am going to leave my job or deny anyone that tries to use it service. Am I wrong? Or is this a genuine issue? What can I do? What can we do? I know we have other issues to prepare for but we cant let the little things go unnoticed. That is how we got where we are after all isnt it?
