THE GRAY-HAIRED BRIGRADE

“The silver haired head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness." Proverbs 16:31

Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. However, we are the ones who won World War II and fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote the Pledge of Allegiance by heart, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We know the words to the Star Spangle Banner, America, and America the Beautiful. From time to time you may see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read about in the history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America.

I am not laughing either, it saddens and sickens me so much that this kind of thing is going on in our Country. It seems like everyday some part of our Heritage offends someone or some group, and instead of saying if you don't like it go back where you came from, the leaders of this Country just roll over. Think I will need an extra blood pressure pill today, can anyone say' " ready to Blow"

This is the story of a Hungarian Jewish woman who survived Auschwitz . Immediately after her liberation, she found a coat belonging to a guard, which she took to shield herself from the cold.  In the pocket of this coat she found a photo album.  It contained pictures of what went on in this extermination camp.  Imagine her reaction when she saw a picture of herself coming off of the train, as well pictures of her family, who had already been murdered.  This album at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem was donated by this woman in 1980, and will forever be displayed there.  When you have 5 minutes of peace and quiet in front of your computer, watch it and consider passing it around to people that you know so they can share it and know about it.  It is truly moving and important.

It is a sad thing and I feel for the families of those who were killed.  I also wish the congresswoman a speedy and complete recovery.  Because of this incident as well as the letter bombs in MD and DC we should all be keeping our eyes and ears open for signs of increased LE or military activity in our areas.  I know there are probably some gun grabber left-wingers trying to get Obama to declare martial law or at the least pushing for stricter gun control laws.  AZ recently passed some good laws and of course they will be to blame for it and not the one nut that did it.

I don't like to make predictions but if you look at the condition of
this country and the direction it is heading, this may become fairly
common place. We have high unemployment, foreclosures at record highs,
good jobs being farmed out to China, food/energy prices going up but
they say we have no inflation. Our federal government created this
situation and in my opinion has a short time to get back on track.
People are hurting and getting desperate and when people get to that
point, they have nothing left to loose. Most sane people, when they hit
bottom, realize that there is only one way to go and that's up but some
just come apart and do stupid things. This guy impresses me as someone
that gave up and felt he had nothing left to live for and just didn't
care. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone what he did, he needed
help with his problems but I do understand how a person can get to that
point in their life.

Today, in Arizona, we saw what can happen when one deranged individual takes it upon himself to resort to violence in response to what he considered to be a wrong.  The Senator who was shot could just as easily have been a Republican.   She was a conservative and was without a doubt a patriot as was the federal judge that was killed.  There are changes that need to be made.  Obama and his progressive (liberial) minions must be removed from power, but not with violence and guns.  We have every right to protect ourselves from our government or any others who would attempt to inslave us.  Our founder were faced with this situation and responded appropriately.  They did not possess the power of the ballot boxs so they had to resort to the cartridge box.  They left us a better option.  We the People are the ultimate authority an America and we have the right to remove those who would seek to destroy this nation of freedom.  If we are attacked we have every right to defend ourselves, but until that happens we must use legal means to accomplishing our goals.  Today, five people died, including a very conservative Senior Federal Judge, and a young and innocent 9 year old girl, for no reason which could ever be justified by any reasonable patriotic person.  I hope the lesson we take from this is that nothing is accomplished by turning to unreasonable violence.  We are better than that and any action of that type would be condemened by every person who has fought for this great nation, from 1775 to this day.
