SEPARATE FROM EVIL
Can Christians walk with the secular progressive government mandates, rules & regulations of our American government, both at the state and federal levels and still be salt & light in society? Are we bound by Romans 13 to obey every rule, regulation and law of government,( Romans 13 does not hold that view, the higher power is God, then we the people, not government), no matter what evil it proposes? Should we embrace unbelievers and follow with their works?
The main purpose of God’s Word is to know him, ( John 6:35;8:12;10:7,9;10:11,14;11:25;14:6;15:1,5) get to understand him, (Ps. 119:11) walk with him (I John 2:6) and be like him in character and nature ( II Cor. 3:18).
God’s Word directs us in John 6:14-7:1 to separate from evil and not to get entangled with the sins of the world.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV)
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
We must expose evil works of darkness as this is God’s will for us:
Ephesians 5:6-17 (KJV)
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
We must distance ourselves from all the government evil, greed, and corruption throwing off the evil of the Obama Whitehouse being spewed upon this great God give nation. His evil efforts to convert us into a secular, godless Marxist society, standing in a new godless satanic Muslim religion, must be resisted and reversed if we intend to remain a Christian nation. As our pledge states,” One Nation, under God”, we Christians must stand and shout it from the house tops; “Jesus Christ Is King over this nation” just as our fore fathers established our Declaration, Constitution & Bill of Rights, under his head ship we too must hold up this standard and draw all men unto Jesus Christ.

Thank you Pastor! Finaly a man of God that is not afraid to stand firm in the Word. Our nation was established with Christian roots. We have always been "One Nation under God" and we need to stand united "under God". I believe 911 should have been a fair warning as to what can happen to a people who turn their back to God. Should we deny him and yet still expect His hand of protection over us. During this terrible attack on our nation the people were crying out " Oh My God". All of our efforts can be in vain unless we once again seek Him in all things. Are we to set aside truth to be politically correct? That's what the liberals are hoping for. I am so thankful for all who are coming forward to stand for our constitution and to preserve this great Nation. To do so with God I believe will bring abundant victories for us and glorify His great name.

In this nation everyone is free to their personal beliefs,, this is enshrined in our 1rst amendment!! Our founders didnt say freedom of denomination,, they clearly expressed reigion!! There are many forms of religion as well! If everyone was forced to a certain religon then its not freedom nor does it respect the first gift endowed to man from God!! THE FREE WILL!! If anyone is going to be in the Militia then please learn this!!

I personally dont have any religon,, i have faith,, that faith rests in Jesus Christ!! Let every person look upon their own faith and respect the free will that God himself gave us all! When religon becomes political then tyranny is born!! History is full of these kind of things!!The standard above does not say you cannot have your personal beliefs,, it just applies when formed into units!!

I would just like to say as a Muslim Patriot Islam is not a form of government; but people have used it to create forms of government. Usually these are repressive, evil regimes that do more damage than good; but it is no different than Christianity, Judaism, or any other Abrahamic Faith. We believe in Jesus (pbuh), Moses (pbuh), and Abraham (pbuh). We just have another prophet we call Muhammad (pbuh) to draw wisdom. Our religion is no better, and no worse than any other religion :)

As a Muslim the American form of government is not at all against my religions principals. To be honest, it's extremely similar. Those Muslims who claim otherwise are my enemy just as much as they are yours; just as much as any Catholic or Christian would be my enemy if they sought to destroy the American way of life. Please don't hate the religion, hate the fools who abuse it to harm innocent people.

I just wish to clarify, not argue at all please don't take any of this the wrong way :) Just Islam is a religion, not a form of government. (Fun Fact: Islam can no longer, if they are following true Islamic doctrines, establish a theocracy ever again since there is no ruling Caliph. Technically speaking all of these "Islamic" governments are not allowed by true religious dogma, and Muslims should consider them illegitimate.)

GB,, the topic is fine and has its value!! It doesnt need removed at all!! As long as opinion is respected in this thread i think it can be educational as long as rule #6 is kept in the site!! Hey All, I am here to help bring some knowledge OUR forefathers had when writing the First 12 Amendemnts... Yes People there were originally 12 Amendments to the Constitution... I sure wish people would do their OWN research about our founding fathers and just what an who they were... You would think that all your life you were taught to hate MUSLIMS... Well let me tell you most people I talk with will tell me it has been 2, 5 or 12 yrs that they have hated MUSLIMS... I personally dont have anything against any MUSLIM that doesnt effect my liberties or my way of life... I am a Roman Catholic by birth and have my own thoughts and answers as to what I believe now... I am just wondering WHY would you hate 1 group over another and what influence have you had to hate that group???? Just because this messed up Govt. Wants you to hate everyone are you going to do it??? All this Govt. is doing is trying to pit every Race and Religion against 1 another... WHY??? What are they gettting out of it... Well it keeps them on top and us fighting one another... See my point... The more we fight the more they do what they want... Well anyway enough of me talking I will let the words of the founders do the rest... All I can say is there is an abundance of information on the super highway they call the INTERNET... @ Thomas Bunetta------where exactly in the Quaran does it say it is OK to lie to unbelievers? Exact surah and ayat, please? Ive been told that the talmud says the same thing about jews being allowed to lie to "goyim". Dont know if it is true or not. My personal opinion is that one must be a bit strange to follow a religion that forbids you to consume pabst, jack daniels and bacon,lettuce and tomato sandwiches and tells you that you gotta pray with your butt in the air 5 times a day, but this is America, and if you like it, I love it, as long as you dont trangress bounds when it comes to me and mine and our rights.
On the issue of our founders and religion--------they were a mixed bag. None were athiest in the sense that we think of it now, but many leaned toward deism/agnosticism, particularly T. Paine, while others were Unitarians, such as John Adams and his son, and others were traditional protestant christians, such as G. Washington
