Hello Folks, Jyrell down here in SC looking to make new friends and advance the cause of freedom.
Thinking about something along the lines of Mid-Summer Regional Meet and Greet doing a Nationwide Meet and Greet on a Regional basis with Commo/IT setting up to link it all together and make it go MAINSTREAM MEDIA. What say you?

So you want to help your communities? You want quality training? Look at the videos and tell me what the difference is between what you would do as a militia and what these folks are doing? There is no law that says you can not carry for personal protection. I know cause I am a VFD member. Nothing like responding to a hatchet to the head call and wondering if they are going to let you do your job. Give it some thought. Discuss it.

Has anybody come across a mention of a National Security Letter purportedly sent by the Obama WH to 14 governors who have either set up or announced plans to organize a State Defense Force?

I was in the military and traveled all over. West Virginia, especially the mountains is my home. where I was born and raised.

Thanks Robert. I grew up in Kentucky and presently stranded in Western MA. My wife has lived in NE and specifically MA most of her life. 2 visits to WV and she was sold, mostly because everyone she talked to was very friendly. She was not used to this.

I can understand why you love it there.

I retired to WV (from Long Island, NY) 8 years ago, and have loved every minute here in the Parkersburg area of WV. I love the environment, and the people.

ThanksStephen. Have a cousin in Clarksburg and she advised the same. I'm looking in the Martinsburg/Berkley Springs area. Would like to be further out but it is what it is. Regarding internet, will probably go with Satellite, plus if there is decent cell coverage, have an air card. Lots of testing to do before I settle on a particular place. If the misses will allow, will be as rural as possible.
