I know neither I nor my son are completely ready for whatever happens, but I have started stocking food back along with ways to save water and have been doing A LOT of reading about survival techniques and all. I'm getting ready to start stocking fuel for camp stoves etc,or a small wood burning stove, but am concerned on the safety of storing these products. I have a 21' travel trailer I can use for storage, so that's no problem, it's the dangers of storing fuel correctly I'm concerned with.
I also have no guns, which I had hoped to remedy long before now, but we've had to survive on my son's income for over a year since I haven't been able to find another job, thus my online business. I do have a brother who lives in Amarillo( he has guns), but he's in poor health and I'm still working out a way to get him moved here, because if things go bad, I certainly don't want to be in a large city to defend ourselves!
I also noticed one comment concerning internet connections to keep up with things over internet or cellphones, and just wanted to mention my online business thru Vitel, main offices around the Houston, Tx area, has a new product called the Vi-Fi which allows up to 5 devices to connect to internet @ the same time "on the go". You can check it out from my website http://sgrhodes.experiencevitel.com and see if this might serve people's concerns about communications etc. Receiving a lot of good responses on this.
Yes, it will provide much needed money for me from sales on any of the products, but I'm also concerned on being able to connect when needed for updates etc during SHTF and before.
I will continue reading as much as possible on survival guides and keep stocking up what I can from here on out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
