Reaction to President Obama’s Illegal Alien Announcement President Obama just indicated that he will give permission to illegal aliens to work in our country "legally" if they have been here since they were 16 and are now between the ages of 16 and 30. Please see below for more information and for our press release regarding this decision. Press ReleaseFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - MDPetitions.com reacts to President Obama’s Illegal Alien Announcement Hagerstown, Maryland – President Obama today declared that he will not enforce existing Federal Immigration laws for illegal aliens between the ages of 16 and 30. He also indicated that his administration would not deport any illegal alien children, implying that he will not deport any of their parents either. Delegate Neil Parrott, Chairman of MDPetitions.com, indicated that, “President Obama’s actions today are both disturbing and troubling. President Obama swore to uphold the US Constitution and the laws of our country. With this decision to not enforce existing US immigration policy, the president is showing us that he has no respect for the US Constitution, US Laws, and the legal citizens of the United States who elect members of Congress and the President.” With reference to this recent decision by the President, Delegate Pat McDonough, talked about Section 106 aiding and abetting laws and referred to existing work laws where no one can work is this country without a lawful presence. He indicated that, “This administration is completely lawless and makes Richard Nixon look like a boy scout.” MDPetitions.com just won a court case to allow Marylanders to be able to vote on Maryland’s bill that would provide college tuition subsidies for illegal aliens. As a result, Marylanders will be able to vote on the bill this coming November. Delegate Parrott indicated that, “In the November election, Marylanders will have the unique opportunity to indicate two things: Whether they want their hard-earned money to pay for college for illegal aliens, and also whether we want to enforce existing federal immigration law. With Obama’s decision today, Maryland’s decision in November will become even more important.” ### Thanks for your help on this issue - the November election is truly important with national implications. Also, we could still use your help regarding the congressional redistricting petitions. We are diligently collecting signatures to allow Marylanders to vote on the congressional redistricting map. The map divides neighborhoods all across the state and if it is not overturned, could lead to Maryland sending one more congressman to DC who wants blanket amnesty for illegal aliens. This map has got to be stopped and you can help - We only have until the end of June to turn in the remainder of the signatures. If you have not yet signed the redistricting petition, please go to mdpetitions.com right now to fill it out, sign it as the individual and as the circulator, and mail it in. If you have signed it, please go to MDPetitions.com right now to download a circulator packet and ask friends to sign. Also, sending this to your email list and posting it on Facebook will help us get the signatures we need. Thanks again for all of your help.
